‘Communism Will Win’: U.S. Army Infantry Officer Posts Message In Support of Kaepernick
Mediaite ^ | 25 Sep 2017 | Colin Kalmbacher

Posted on 09/25/2017 4:30:28 PM PDT by mandaladon

As the discourse rolls on regarding former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick‘s decision to take a knee during the national anthem–and the movement his protest ignited–support for the blacklisted athlete-cum-activist is sprouting up across the country.

Yesterday afternoon, on Twitter, some of that support came from U.S. Army Infantry Officer and U.S. Military Academy at West Point alumnus, Spenser Rapone.

Rapone posts under the handle @punkproletarian and is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America.

Under the hashtag #VeteransForKaepernick, he tweeted an image of himself raising the left clenched-fist of solidarity, support and resistance as well as the message, “Communism Will Win” taped inside of his West Point uniform cap. Also visible in the photograph is Rapone’s Combat Infantryman Badge–meaning he has fought in active ground combat.

Rapone followed up his initial post with retweeted images of other #VeteransForKaepernick in their combat uniforms.

LawNewz verified the legitimacy of the photograph with Rapone himself. He is currently in the field until Friday and unable to answer detailed questions, but a Medium post authored by the Infantry Officer details some of his views. He wrote, following the murder of socialist Heather Heyer during the Charlottesville neo-Nazi rallies:

The toppling of the Confederate Soldiers Memorial in Durham, North Carolina has sounded the death knell for any and all displays of Confederate aggrandizement in the United States as well as abroad. Yet, the shadow of the Confederacy and its efforts to preserve slavery is not limited to the southern United States.

Hopefully a court martial is in this guys future.

My gaydar is almost breaking just looking at this guy.

I bet he doesn't know that Che hated gays, and murdered them when he found them.

Prior service, apparently.

Not sure communism is compatible with the Constitution, to which he took his oath, but then again we've had a Precedent who preferred the same political company.

Sort of hard to discipline this when Black Power symbols were not.

Cockroaches are only unafraid in the light when they think no one is there but other roaches.

Che was Cuban, right?

Nope! Argentinian.

He came from a poor family..?

Nope! Middle-class?

Nope! Upper middle-class.

The big earners in his background were his grandparents, who were luxury yacht-making American emigrants to Argentina. They moved there because at the time the rich big-wheels by world standards really were Argentinians.

They wanted to get richer, see..?

Che had servants and his adolescent hobby was screwing the Chinese housemaid they had. If she wasn’t in the mood I think it might not have gone well for her job.

But Che was a hardy warrior, right?

Nope! He had bad asthma and had a hard time humping up and down all those hills.

But Fidel gave him the important job of exporting Cuban revolutionary ideas cuz Che did such a good job as Economic Minister, right..?

Nope! He drove the Cuban economy into a ditch immediately and it’s likely Fidel was TRYING TO GET HIM KILLED (Che was famous so a real firing would have looked bad).

Che went down shooting, though, right?

Nope! His pistol was full of ammo and his first words to his captors were:

“I’m more valuable to you alive..!”

With those medal and qualification badges he must have an enlisted soldier before he was accepted to West Point. We had a Neo-Nazi in the Basic Combat Training cycle before mine who was unmasked and put to work painting murals in the orderly room before they could discharge him. A few crazies always get through.

Your post is another of the endless ways communism (progressivism) contradicts what its believers think communism means.

Know where Che trained prior to the Cuban Revolution?

Mexico. He was there for over a year.

He develeoped warm feeling for his Mexican hosts over the course of that year, right?

Nope!

His exact words were:

“Mexicans are nothing more than a drunk pack of illiterate Indians.”

There’s a big difference between being a communist in 1917 and 2017.
