This whole NFL protest thing has gotten so strange that:

1. I have no idea what it is even about

2. I do not even care what it is about

Indeed, it has morphed and is quite unfocused. We all know it started with Kaepernick and one or two others following #BLM sloganeering about Ferguson/hands up don't shoot/and white america oppressing blacks etc... The NFL allowed this cancer to carry on, because the NFL, I now realize, are crony-capitalists who have conformed to our governing elites and mainstream media culture.

I was listening to players yesterday, and all I hear is vague slogans about "unity" and "fairness." Its simply become a protest about Trump - who has, ironically, laid out the bait and I am certain, expected their reaction.

They are protesting racial injustice, particularly in police trials that have not gone their way. That’s how I understand it.

Somehow, kneeling during the national anthem sends their message, but I sure can’t figure out how.

Since our national anthem is the Star Spangled Banner, they are protesting both it and the flag which it is about. They ignore that the flag and the flag code and even the anthem are the domain of the military.

So, they have chosen to publicly disrespect the flag and the military over some injustice they see in our country.

The kneeling thing was obtuse and actually is a common sign of servitude. The left destroyed Tim Tebow for it. Now the a-holes refuse to come out or walk out. F-them all. They are all not worthy of this country. They can try this sh*t somewhere else.

I don't think they do either. It's like Occupy Wall Street.

I’m not sure the players know what it’s about.

They talk about how they as players have a platform so they have a responsibility to use that platform. But then, when asked about why they kneeled:

“You know, I’m not unpatriotic, its just a way to bring attention to what is going on in the country right now.”

I bet I heard four or five of these comments. After the first inane comment I replied calmly to my wife “It’s too bad he didn’t actually state some specifics, and what he thinks might be constructive ways to deal with them.”

The last guy I was ranting and yelling at the TV “So USE your frikkin’ PLATFORM and TELL us SOMETHING!!!”

I liked the way the Seahawks did it last year. Everyone stood and linked arms to show unity and community. Black, white, coaches, players, trainers, etc. They explained it like that too - a way of showing we are all in this together.

Player Doug Baldwin saw it as a “bridge” between each other. He started a foundation called Bridges of Community or something. Giving schools and cops money and opportunity (and Seahawk appearances) to get together and build bridges between the police and the kids. Predominantly minority schools I am guessing. This all started out I’m pretty sure from the various shootings of “innocent” blacks killed by the police.

I’m guessing that it has morphed into the antifa type thing now and is more political, even before Trump joined in.

It is simply a movement that started in Kaepernick's crotch as he was convinced by his muslim girlfriend that blacks are being systemically discriminated against and targeted by white cops. So it is based on a narrative that is provably false and that Kaepernick perpetuated because (a) he is to stupidly blind to deal with facts and (b) he wants to get laid regularly.
