WASHINGTON (AP) - U.S. Sen. John McCain says doctors have given him a "very poor prognosis" as he battles brain cancer.

McCain underwent surgery in July for a brain tumor that was later found to be a form of glioblastoma, the same type of cancer that took the life of his former Senate colleague Edward M. Kennedy in 2009. McCain tells CBS' "60 Minutes" in an interview that aired Sunday night that he thinks about Kennedy a lot. He says Kennedy continued to work despite the diagnosis and "never gave up because he loved the engagement."

I don’t wish him ill. But I do pray for deliverance from him. A resignation would be nice, followed by a complete recovery.

They love the power more than their own families, very sad.

Yes, that’s hyperbole

Is it?

Are you sure?

“McCain is a bitter vindictive traitor. Watch him switch parties so the AZ Governer is forced to appoint a Rat when he goes.”

Easy to get around... Just have the republican you want to pick change parties to dem, and then switch back after appointed.

I don’t understand anyone who would rather greedily cling to their power up to their dying breath rather than enjoy their last months and days with their family and close friends. He has the money to live in luxury surrounded by beauty. Yet he chooses Washington DC and the Senate, and getting himself in the news. Knowing that he will soon face his Maker should give him pause to evaluate his life. But no. He continues on to the end, vainly wielding his power, enjoying the fawning praise of the media and the Left. If he actually had a legitimate cause in a battle to fight for I could appreciate his decision, but his grand Cause is nothing more than shafting his own party and siding with the opposition as much as possible.

“He says Kennedy continued to work despite the diagnosis and “never gave up because he loved the engagement.”

“....because he loved the engagement.” Anything about loving his country? Anything about loving the people he allegedly represents? I didn’t read that, but I only read the excerpt, because I don’t like reading about McPain.

The word “bi-partisan” gets my goat. If a group of 10 politicians are “bi-partisan”, that means they’re all partisan one way or the other. If they’re all on the same side of an issue then they’re all “partisan” ... to one side.

McCain calls himself a Maverick for siding with the enemy. Just like he did in Vietnam. I believe he took the moniker because he thought of himself as Tom Cruise in Top Gun. Both are little short frauds.

the same type of cancer that took the life of his former Senate colleague Edward M. Kennedy in 2009. McCain tells CBS' "60 Minutes" in an interview that aired Sunday night that he thinks about Kennedy a lot. He says Kennedy continued to work despite the diagnosis and "never gave up because he loved the engagement."

Perhaps he "thinks a lot" about Kennedy's transparent dishonesty in the matter of whether the Governor of MA should be forced, or allowed, to appoint somebody to serve out the remainder of a Senator's term, depending on whether that governor is a Democrat or a Republican:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Senate_special_election_in_Massachusetts,_2010#Appointment

He was a double-dealing rat until literally the day he died. Maybe that kind of brain cancer turns you into a two-faced son of a bitch.

I understand.

My faith does not allow me to wish him dead. But I can’t help thinking God is punishing him for his betrayal.

The focus now turns to the Governor of Arizona. Can he be relied on to make an appointment that will work with the President to reform healthcare?
