Perhaps that SHOULD be the contest, in a way.
As noble as the NFL pretends to be, they are simply a manifestation of entertainment dollars spent by Americans. And there is no shortage of activities which will compete for those dollars.
Maybe we are witnessing the evolution of football into a more linear and team-oriented form of pro wrestling. Good guys. Bad guys. Silly shows of arrogance and feel-good victories of it. Or over it.
Along those lines, I suggest we change the definition NFC/AFC to be these:
Nationalist Football Conference
Antifa Football Conference
Choose sides.
