The sports world has responded to President Trump’s criticisms of NFL players who protest against the national anthem. On Friday night, Trump gave a fiery speech in Huntsville, Alabama, while speaking at a rally for Republican Senate candidate Luther Strange. President Trump referred to NFL players who protest the anthem as as “SOB’s.” He also said that it would be a winning public relations move if an NFL owner were to “fire” a player for such a protest.

Trump said:

See the video at the link.

By Saturday evening, the NFL Players Association, Commissioner Goodell, and the leadership of several different NFL franchises, had responded to Trump.

The name Kraft stuck with me, but there is at least one other listed in one of today’s threads.

There may be more.

After cities across our nation have basically gifted them with stadiums in a number of places, this is the level of love for our nation?

These folks deserve a return on their investment of $0.00.

(The owners don’t really have a choice here. It’s astonishing to have the President of the United States — whose every public statement is covered by the national media and seen by his 39 million Twitter followers — stand up there and publicly castigate an entire industry like this. I don’t think I could even imagine such a thing as recently as a few years ago.)
Really? How about when Obama tried to destroy the coal and frankly all fossil fuel industries? And the dayloan industry, and the gun industry?

“THE NFL OWNERS ARE HELD HOSTAGE BY THEIR BLACK SUBJECTS, cowering in fear of being called ‘racist’. This same phenomena kept Obama from being held accountable to the law, AND STILL DOES”.

It's kind of similar to Evergreen State College staff on a larger scale.

The NFL will be a joke on a much larger scale too.

“Have there ever been any boos or protests by people that actually attend the games?”

Is this a serious question?

It was when I asked it last night.

Thank God, I sold my PSLs at Soldier Field and the accompanying Seasons Tickets and made a boat load of money doing so.

A message to the oppressed (with heavy doses of sarcasm) -

Let’s see if I have this straight:

A black man was elected to the most powerful position in the world, not once, but twice, and blacks maintain they are oppressed in America . . . Right!

A black woman, Oprah Winfrey, is one of the world’s richest women, and blacks maintain they are oppressed in America . . . Right!

Both a black woman, Condaleeza Rice, and a black man, Collin Powell, served in two of the highest level cabinet positions in a white president’s administration, and blacks maintain they are oppressed in America . . . Right!

A black man that was appointed by a white president sits on the Supreme Court, and blacks maintain they are oppressed in America . . . Right!

Blacks make up the majority of NFL rosters, making millions and millions of dollars, and blacks maintain they are oppressed in America . . . Right!

Blacks make up a substantial majority of NBA rosters, making more millions and millions of dollars, and blacks maintain they are oppressed in America . . . Right!

Blacks are systematically given preferential hiring opportunities in major sports coaching positions, and blacks maintain they are oppressed in America . . . Right!

Blacks make up a significant portion of large city police departments, and when blacks are arrested for committing crimes, even arrested by black police officers, blacks maintain they are oppressed in America . . . Right!

Countless black men and women have risen to prestigious positions of governance in both the corporate world and in local, state and federal government, yet blacks maintain they are oppressed in America . . . Right!

I think I see a trend developing here, and I believe it is called “Entitlement Mentality.” Yes, we White Anglo Saxon Protestants (translated “deplorables”) have really screwed over black people in the past 50 years. (NOT!) I understand there are still race relations issues and problems in this country that have to be addressed with compassion and sincerity (issues made significantly worse by the actions of the previous president’s fuel on the fire at every turn) but black people (and frankly Hispanics, Asians, etc. etc. etc.) in this country are WAY better off than they were 50 years ago. Every real/true statistic known to man bears this fact out. Yet, blacks maintain they are oppressed in America . . . Right!

If you don’t believe me, try some of this protesting $hit in any other country on the planet, and see where it gets you!!! And frankly, all this bitching and moaning woe is me $hit is getting really old. We either have a country with a Constitution, laws, borders, etc., or we don’t. If we do, then get off your dead ass and go to work like I have for the past 47 years and do something productive and quit your bitching! If we don’t have a country with a Constitution, laws, borders, etc., then my friends, you are not going to like the outcome, no matter which way it goes. I promise you, take a trip to any other country in the world and see how this protesting and violence is dealt with under communism, socialism, real fascism, etc. You and your candy assed whining will be put down faster than a bullet through a gun barrel (no pun intended). Grow up and go to work people! Make a better place for you and your family through hard work, perseverance and commitment. You were not put on this earth to be permanently on the government’s tit and neither was I. One man cannot Make America Great Again. It is going to take all of us “working” together side by side, not “protesting” side by side.

Several NFL Owners Condemn President Trump’s Remarks on Players Who Protest the Anthem

Is this Fake News or what? We want the names of the owners who made any mention of Trump's remarks.

It looks like Jerry Jones is one of the best owners in the NFL. We use to get after Coach Jones since he was on the sidelines, in the locker room, on the football field. He was not acting like the owner of the Dallas Cowboys.

Now, we will call him Jerry Jones owner of the Dallas Cowboys.

Unfortunately he's not a very good GM.

Partner, you wrote and mentioned why we are so disappointed with the entitlement mentality.

You happen to be exactly correct in expressing these views.

Even our MSM has kept the St. Louis riots from being watched on national TV.

Of course, the MSM is a bunch of fake news these days and who would have ever thought of that garbage from our news outlets.
