Joseph Santos, born a biological male 57 years ago, felt like a female from a very early age.

Sorry pal, not buying it - and not buying your gender-screwy whatever either. You don't feel right? Not my problem. I'm sure I would feel better with a 10,000 sq ft house in the hills of Scottsdale overlooking Phoenix, with a Mercedes-Maybach in the garage...but I don't expect everyone to chip-in, or worse, be forced to pay for that just to make me feel better.
Where do people get these screwy ideas that they are entitled to this, that, or the other thing and that we should pay for it? SMH...
Yeah, then I hear my special needs brother gets various services cut every year, probably for crap like this, and supporting illegals.
What's next? Telling the government that they have to supply victims to those who claim to be murderers and need understanding?

Hundreds of thousands of dollars in surgery.... More money for counseling to overcome the shame of once being 'ugly' in her own mind... Years spent stateside so she could be near her military doctors... thousands of dollars taken from a military that couldn't afford part for fighter jets... No sacrifice by the 'traditional Americans was ever enough'... Jane was sooooooo much better than those poeple...
Let those who didn't care WHAT they looked like fight in her place.
After all - SHE HAD THE RIGHT TO BE BEAUTIFUL - no matter what the cost to her country or fellow soldiers. After all, SHE WAS all that mattered - it was ALL about her... right?
