“Sessions was an excellent senator.”
How can you be “excellent” in a do nothing body? Sessions reminds me of Ron Paul. Paul was a “conservative darling” who warmed a seat in the House for 25 years and didn’t really do squat except talk. He authored virtually no legislation. I see Sessions in exactly the same light. For me he has not earned the reputation he has as some sort of Conservative icon.
We’re not worried about Moore’s odds in the general, Mr. President. We just want a solid, honest conservative in the Senate, and not a McConnell lackey.
Sessions stood up against the cheap labor express lobby. If you don’t know anything about Mr Sessions I would suggest shutting up. Clearly your ignorance is showing, again.
‘I trust Sarah Palin, Ben Carson’
God bless them!
“REPLACE Trump with MOORE”
That’s nonsense! Roy Moore can get elected in Alabama, but there’s no way he could win a nationwide election. He raises real concerns for me as a Conservative voter. America isn’t a Theocracy. His brand of theology has very narrow appeal in the country today. I suspect that most mainstream Christians would have concerns about voting for him. That said, I do hope he wins, because Strange is a POS, but I think we may well have been better served by electing Mo Brooks.
There are not 20 Trump supporters in the Senate - and some of them, under certain circumstances, are Democrats.
It's Alabama, so he'll probably win, but if there's any candidate who'd say something incredibly stupid about rape and abortion, the way Todd Akin and Richard Mourdock did, and have his candidacy blow up and allow a Democrat to actually win a U.S. Senate seat in Alabama, it's Roy Moore.
I don’t know who Trump’s political director is, and I don’t know what the polls in AL say about a Moore - D race, but I accept the possibility that Moore could lose a race that Strange could win.
Many Moore supporters will sit out the general election if he loses this rigged primary. Surely Trump must know this, so he evidently wants another Democrat in the Senate. That “togetherness with Chuck and Nancy” act is working out so well for him .
“Sessions stood up against the cheap labor express lobby.”
Whoopeee! As far as my “shutting up,” GFY, this is a forum predicated on the First Amendment! Clearly you are “ignorant” of that fact. No matter what Sessions did or didn’t do as a Senator, dog catcher, or whatever else he’s done, he’s a worthless turd as Attorney General and is disgracing the State of Alabama in the process. Trump needs to can him and let him go back to his rest home in Alabama.
Trust. Exactly why principle matters.
If you keep your third eye on them, then you can support and work with generally patriotic politicians as needed. But you can actually trust men/women of principle.
Moore is the most purely principled man from the bench.
Trump is the most purely political beast to take the WH.
Moore I trust. Trump I can work with as needed.
Trump is loyal to people. Moore is loyal to principle.
Trump likes Strange because Strange will owe and pay loyalties to a man in a way Moore will only do for the Constitution.
Trade in loyalties and endorsements is the lifeblood of politics. Adherence to principle is the hope of Freedom.
That should be your tagline. Good one!
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
You must not have been paying attention. If not for Sessions, the Amnesty 8 would have been able to push their way through congress. Sessions made people aware of what was happening. He did this by getting on every conservative media outlet that would let him express his opposition to their agenda. He stood up more than anyone to the GOPe and the democrats that pushed their amnesty dump on America.
He stood up before the swamp (demos and GOPe) that wanted to ram TPP down our throats. He had a lot to derailing the bad trade legislation.
He stood up before anyone else to the idea of us taking all these so-called muslim “refugees” the left wanted dumped on the USA.
You may not like Sessions but don’t let it distort the truth.
I don’t think a “Todd Akin moment” will matter all that much in Alabama. Moore isn’t on the bench anymore because he ran his mouth and it looks like he’s going to walk away with it. While I don’t know and don’t feel like delving too much into Alabama politics or its voting patterns, outside of Montgomery, Birmingham, and Mobile, I doubt a Dem stands much of a chance in that state given the three cities demographics.
I’ll cash that check. Agree.
C’mon Trump. Don’t let McConnell bend your ear like that. It’s thinking like that that gets us the McConnells and the McCains of the world.

I still say: Whoopee! Whatever he’s done in the past, none of it matters today! He’s demonstrating to my satisfaction that at best, he’s an inept little man with no balls, and at worst, he’s taken a trusted position with President Trump with the intention of doing his dead level best to sink the whole administration. And FWIW, I’d love to eat my words, because we damned sure need an effective AG, and I will be the first to recant what I’ve said if it somehow turns out I was wrong. The clock is running, and it’s not running in Sessions favor as I see it.
Perhaps, but since the senate already has the like of Schmuckie Schumer, Dianne Feinstein, Mitchie McConnell, Juan McLame, Linda Grahamnesty, Rand Paul and scores more, one more grandstanding clown will hardly matter.
Trump is right though. Moores track record in elections does not inspire confidence.
