Iran funnels weapons through Syria to Hezbollah and Hamas, that’s the Shia crescent. Syria has been a designated state sponsor of Terrorism since 1978, no way would Syria sign off on such strikes into Damascus as these were. Ridiculous.

Yea but Damascus may not be entirely thrilled to have a weaponized entity in its capital, especially one funded by Iran. It increases the threat of a coup.

The 1978 Syria of Hafez Al-Assad is not exactly the same 2000- 2017 Syria of Bashir Al Assad

The utility of Hezbollah non- Syrian fighters in Syria to liberate and defend Syrian shia villagers grows less and less useful to Assads long term interests as radical sunni islamist militias like isis and al Nusra are eradicated

Sending them back to Lebanon, Iraq and Iran is going to be an issue
