Convicted Terrorist Rasmea Odeh Deported (Why Are These People Allowed Here?

Convicted terrorist-turned-Women's March organizer Rasmea Odeh has been deported from the United States to Jordan after it was revealed that she lied on her application for a U.S. visa and for U.S. citizenship. Odeh did not state on her application that she was convicted in 1970 for two bombings in Jerusalem that resulted in the deaths of two people, and hence was tried for immigration fraud. After several appeals and a vacated sentence, on March 23, 2017 Odeh was sentenced to be deported and to be stripped of her U.S. citizenship. Her citizenship was formally revoked on August 17.

Odeh was one of the co-authors of the Women's March's "A Day Without A Woman" planned strike and was active in the Women's March activism.

Despite the relatively open-and-shut nature of the case, Odeh still has supporters who protested her deportation using the hashtag #HonorRasmea.

And despite claiming to a Chicago newspaper that she has no friends or family in Jordan, this appears to be false.

DoughtyOne, I have read hundreds of your posts, and I know you are a good conservative and patriot. Two of my biggest issues are illegal & legal immigration policies and foreign trade deficits. Although I never suffered a job layoff in my entire working life, I saw so many friends getting laid off because their jobs were exported abroad. Our legal immigration policy is very bad. 90%+ of one million new immigrants are given permanent visa based on sponsored by a relative, instead of skills & wealth. Reagan did nothing to change it. Trump seems to be much more in tune with my agenda on immigration.

And by the way I voted twice for Reagan, and have not regretted it. Voting for the Bushes is a regret. But the alternative was even worse.

As a matter of fact, you did not mention that federal tax receipts doubled under Reagan.

You specifically stated the spending tripled. Don’t try to pretend you included mitigating information. You selected just the negative things you wanted, to trash him.

More facts? No, you presented less facts, to advance your attack meme.

Abortion was not something that could have been remedied in that time frame. It was still receiving something like 70-80% approval in the public arena.

Oh yes, one more fact you failed to mention to trash Reagan.

You really are an ass aren’t you.

In Reagan’s day, there was not a big push for a wall on our Southern border. Oh yes, you conveniently forgot that too didn’t you.

The flow of illegals had been very small since Eisenhower addressed around 1955.

Reagan did not consciously give amnesty to 3.5 million. His intent was to grant amnesty to 1 million.

I reminded you of this in one of my prior posts. You are still trying to smear him by stating he gave amnesty to 3.5 million, as if he knew that many were in country.

Once again I’ll remind you. Congressional leaders assured Reagan there were only 1 million illegals inside the United States. When Reagan addressed the nation, he reference that number, not 3.5 million.

We don’t know if he would have made the same decision or not, if he had the accurate numbers. And thus your smear is not reasoned.

Had he known it was 3.5 million and gone ahead anyway, it would be a valid number ot site when blaming him. for consciously deciding to grant them amnesty.

Stocks rally when the economy soars. Inflation may or may not have anything to do with it.

Reagan’s tax cuts spurred the economy, and the stock market soared.

I appreciate your additional comments entropy12, but that does not neutralize your attacks on Reagan.

You should know the things I've brought up.

Reagan did not displace your friends. We weren't in the wholesale job offshoring business until about 3-5 years before he left office. Reagan would not have singed on to destroying tens of millions of U. S. jobs. What would that have gained a man that wanted to increase federal receipts?

Much of what you state here is rehashed union trip from the 1980s. It's bunk.

It is important to point out what past presidents did wrong so that future presidents can do better.

No president is perfect, and neither was Reagan. Since my top issue is immigration, I want no republican president to ever issue general and blanket amnesty to illegal immigrants. It is a horrible thing to do. Besides costing tax payers Billions, it ENCOURAGES MORE ILLEGALS to flood in. Reagan did not understand this, and I will keep pointing out his error every chance I get.

On the whole, I repeat, Reagan was better than the Bushes, and far better than Clinton & Obama. Only democrat president I admire is JFK because of he was the first president in my lifetime to cut taxes substantially. His speech on tax cuts is a gem.

Regarding stocks, I give credit to Reagan for keeping Volcker as chair of Federal Reserve. Volcker was not a candy ass like current chair Janet Yellen. Volcker kept FED interest rates so high, it killed off the double digit inflation started during Carter and continued through 1982.

I put all my investment capital into stocks paying double digit dividends due to prevalent high inflation rates. The inflation rate came down substantially in mid-1980’s, causing my high dividend stocks to double and triple. That changed my financial life for ever!

Entropy12, I’m sorry to see you bring a third-grader’s level of comprehension to this issue. You do nobody on our side a service with your twisted logic on this.

Yes, you twist the facts to make them look as bad as possible to justify your actions. What you are doing though, is presenting half-truths. There were mitigating factors involved with each of the things you addressed.

You overlook those, and counter-balancing interests to do what Leftists do. Hey, they justify their actions too.

Just one example of your twisted logic, you actually trashed Reagan for not building a wall. This is one of your facts that you presented.

In Reagan’s day, nobody talked about building a wall. The flow of illegals from 1955 to 1986, was minuscule. The issue wasn’t the issue it is today. Even 3.5 million versus the 30 million or so we have today, is a good reason why. And back then, the public perception, and Reagan’s too, was that we had 1 million illegals in country. It wasn’t until years after Reagan’s term ended, that the full number of applicants was released.

What you left out was this. In 31 years ending in 1986, since Eisenhower’s actions, 32,250 foreign nationals per year on average crossed our border and stayed. We have multiples of that per month now. And that is why a wall is being talked about. Of course it has been since around 2,000.

Now I will state, that 32,250 figure is predicated on the false 1 million person count. If you multiply that by 3.5, you wind up with a flow rate of 112,905 per year, still a very small number compared to today’s flow.

Once again, I am going to keep point this out to you. We do not know if the flow subsequent to Reagan’s actions was related to those actions, or the refusal of all future presidents to enforce our laws. You continually harping on Reagan’s blame without mentioning the lack of enforcement, amounts to misinformation. You’re lying by omission. And not on just one issue either.

You may mean well, but you are doing the Leftist’s work here. You are smearing Reagan unfairly.

Yes, you state that on the whole Reagan was better than the Bushes. The comparison is a looney tune one. It’s laughable to mention them in the same sentence.

Neither of the Bushes stood higher than Reagan’s boot tops.

I liked Volker also. He did bring rates down over time. They were astronomical under Carter.

I’m glad this all worked out good for you.

Please write this down. There never will be strict enforcement or deportation of illegals so long as the rich donor class has all politicians in their pocket.
If Reagan did noy understand that, that was error #1.

If Reagan thought he could trust Tip O’Neill and other democrats in the spending & tax deal, that was error #2.

But IMHO, Reagan’s bigger error in judgement was allowing huge trade deficits. That more than anything else is why the vast hard working middle class is under stress.

To be honest, I hadn’t realized what a great fan of Reagan you are.

It’s pointless to talk with someone this ignorant.

Please find a forum where you views of Reagan fit in more.

If you could write down “the bird”, I’d suggest it.

There had been rather strict enforcement up until Reagan’s day. We were deporting in significant numbers back then.

We were trying to enforce the border, and there was a robust inland enforcement taking place.

I’ve already pointed these two things out to you, and you’re still lying about them to trash Reagan.

Reagan had to make deals to get his agenda through. I’ve already addressed this with you also. Yes, we overspent. Some of that was for rebuilding of our military. Who knew? Are you nuts or what? I’ve discussed this with you, and here you are harping on it again.

The trade deficits under Reagan were less than 10% of what they are today.

You really are an ass.
