China’s surprising instructions to banks this week, however, were at least partially undermined when South Korea on Thursday approved $8 million in supposed humanitarian aid to North Korea.

Then get our troops out of there. Yesterday.

If the Souks are stupider than the Norks, what are we even doing there?

I think the China part is good. Perhaps they are bringing pressure to convince the Fat Teenager to grow up.

[From the article] Moon previously said humanitarian aid and political issues should be handled separately. Seoul stopped the aid in January 2016 after Pyongyang conducted its fourth nuclear test. But after meeting with ministries and civilian experts, Moon decided to resume aid to help North Korean children and pregnant woman, the Unification Ministry said. [end quote]

North Korea could support their own children and pregnant women, if they’d stop wasting their money on missiles and nuclear bombs. This isn’t South Korea’s problem, and I don’t know why they feel the need to try and appease the Norks (not that it will work anyway) with this money.

In general I am a firm supporter of South Korea. Not only do I think that they are a valuable regional ally, but I have a number of friends there. But if they’re going to thumb their noses at us by shelling out $8 million to the Norks in the face of the sanctions that we managed to get through the UN, then I think we ought to reduce our aid to them by an amount at least double that.

Exactly. I was wondering after hearing POTUS at the UN whether SK was doing anything to undermine security agreements.

Sending ‘humanitarian aid’ does exactly that. It’s protection, to placate KJ.

MSM is in atypical frenzy when all Trump’s doing is pressuring the locals to ante-up. It is truly telling that China responded accordingly and SK sent another payment.

SK can burn in a sea of fire as far as I’m concerned.

The allure of apocalyptic Kim might weigh heavy on the Chinese. They already are creating trouble accross the Chinese border with militaro-criminal gangs roaming and looking for people
fleeing NK.

the new govt in the South is undermining the entire friggin’ operation.

Trump needs to call them out, loud and clear, on Twitter:

“If South Korea wishes the US to honor it’s defense treaty with them, they will never send any more money to the corrupt government of North Korea.”

“Otherwise they are on their own and we’ll focus our efforts on protecting loyal allies”.

ROK has moronic politicians, just like here. Blame them. Would you also like the US to “burn” in a sea of fire? Our politicians do far worse.

I bet DJT is putting the economic screws to those Chinese banks that have been financing Kim.
