I vividly remember reading about the Beslan School siege of 2004, followed by the multiple murders of innocents. I had never heard of the Chechen people before then, and still don’t know very much about them other than they are capable of astonishing cruelty.
That
was over sixteen years ago. Settlements are slow to being paid out. This slowness may be due to lots of blame shifting.
That attack was pure horror. Authorities knowing about an impending attack and not watching known terrorists and sympathizers is nauseating. It reminds me of the Boston bombing which was a disgrace of “intelligence” and law enforcement.
There’s no way, Russia would ever pay for this, even this small amount considering the number of victims. To pay for this would be an admission of guilt.
