I was taught as a child what was right and what was wrong. How confusing things are today when things can be "wrong on so many levels." (WTF?)

I guess it would be fruitless to ask her about watermelon...

Or this pile of COTTON. Imagine how many slaves it took to pick enough cotton to make all the money.

TOM COTTON MUST RESIGN!!

LOL! Well, he is a Republican and and my goodness, his last name is "Cotton."

He clearly must resign. /s

Good people of Arkansas, please elect someone with the last name of "Burrito" or some other more pc-friendly name. LOL!

I never picked cotton
But my mother did
And my brother did
And my sister did
And my daddy died young
Workin’ in a coal mine

When I was just a baby
Too little for the cotton sack
I played in the dirt
While the others worked
‘Til they couldn’t straighten up their backs
And I made myself a promise
When I was old enough to run
That I’d never stay a single day
In that Oklahoma sun

African-American slaves

Slaves were taken by conquerors after the conquerors vanquished the battle losers.

To proclaim oneself as an African-American brought here on slaveship is to proclaim oneself as a loser.

Over 150 years later the majority are still a bunch of losers. And the Africa they revere is still the land of slavery.

Written by Bobby George and Charles Williams the song was recorded and released by Roy Clark in 1970. Johnny Cash covered it in the 90’s.

I worked down south and met a lot of people who had picked cotton during the depression. Both white and black.

This isn't about anyone being offended, outraged, hurt, slighted, whatever.

All of this faux offended BS is about training general society to be fearful ... which makes the perpetually "offended" holding the power.

That is ALL this is about.
