A Texas woman has been getting ridiculed online for being “too sensitive” after she blasted the arts-and-crafts chain Hobby Lobby for selling faux raw cotton stalks — which she found offensive.=

“This decor is WRONG on SO many levels,” Daniell Rider posted on Facebook this past Thursday, along with a photo of the phony textile plants.

“There is nothing decorative about raw cotton…A commodity which was gained at the expense of African-American slaves,” she said. “A little sensitivity goes a long way. PLEASE REMOVE THIS ‘decor.'”

Rider, who is black, appeared to take the picture of the cotton herself after spotting it at a Hobby Lobby in Killeen, TX.

A commodity which was gained at the expense of African-American slaves

When I see raw cotton, I think of Eli Whitney and his cotton gin.

Welcome to the 21st century.

This is absurd! Someone at Communist Party Headquarters must be laughing his head off at how easy it is to dumb down and manipulate the American people like humorless automatons.

She's from Texas.

Texas borders Arkansas.

Tom Cotton is a Republican senator from Arkansas.

As I sit here, wearing a cotton t-shirt, I wonder whether the sight of me or of 95% of the people in this country also triggers her as we wear the dreaded fabric. I feel sorry for the poor, delicate snowflake.

I’m not too quick to catch on; I guess I was kind of “sloe” to catch on to your play on the word “gin”.

Wiki
——Crops cultivated on antebellum plantations included cotton, tobacco, sugar, indigo, rice, and to a lesser extent okra, yam, sweet potato, peanuts, and watermelon. By the late 18th century, most planters in the Upper South had switched from exclusive tobacco cultivation to mixed-crop production-—

So when this racist goes shopping does she get triggered by all the others crops planted in the south or just cotton...?

Does a pack of newports or marlboro trigger her senses....slaves picked tobacco...too...

These have been sold for years. The faux freak out is new because liberal bullies enjoy the power that comes from constantly changing the rules, keeping people off balance, so that they can demand anything and make it seem reasonable.
It is emotional abuse as a political tactic - find things to be outraged about, move on to the next thing, make continual demands and make them afraid you’ll be violent if they don’t.
Emotional blackmail as political tactics.
