NOW PLAYING Kim Jong Un says NKorea nearing equilibrium with US military Close President Trump apparently has a new name for North Korean strongman Kim Jong Un as the rogue leader pursues a nuclear-missile program -- “rocket man.”
“I spoke with President Moon of South Korea last night,” Trump tweeted early Sunday morning. “Asked him how Rocket Man is doing. Long gas lines forming in North Korea. Too bad!”
Kim has apparently conducted six nuclear bomb tests and numerous inter-continental missile launches in his attempt to affix a nuclear warhead on a rocket that could reach foreign soil.

Yes there are vids on YT of one of the gas stations in Pyongyang. It’s full service and the pumpers are all very attractive females.
My dad’s unit faught their way to the North bank of the Yalu river before they were told to get back to the 38th parallel. China has been in this since day #1.
You can bet there is sufficient firepower in the region to handle the threat but optics with Japan pulling the trigger on some hi-tech military wizzardry would be helpful.

Absolutely. China does not want a unified westernized Korea, for a number of reasons - not the least of which is that South Korea is already a significant rival to China’s economy. If you combined the untapped natural resources of North Korea with the industry that South Korea already has, they would be an even bigger economic threat to China.
And obviously calling him Rocket Man is part of Trumps’s plan. Could explain my take on it, but loose lips sink ships.

China wants to see the tech used to contain nork. Then they modify their tech to meet the challenge. I’ve thought all along China is the ones to watch and not so much nork.
