Looks likes the Russians hit the forces that include jihadists in Syria today, the 'US-backed forces'.

DEBKAfile is saying the Syrian government and allied forces crossed the Euphrates River in the area as this attack was alleged to have occurred.

Kurds also in this force attacked. The Kurdish independence referendum is stirring up the region with Iran and Turkey among opponents.

Russia is denying any attack occurred.

If there is a correct or just side in this war, someone please point it out to me.

fine. let’s splatter a few dozen of their unreliable, whacked out semi-cooperative muslim “allies”, and call it a day.

everyone wins!

Is Syria worth getting into a war with the Russians? Not in my mind it isn’t.

In Syria? We have no right to be in Syria, and should not be supporting troops within the country opposed to the Assad government.

according to wikipedia. Russia is allied with the Syrian Democratic Forces. Either change in policy? or an accident?

Is Syria worth one American soldiers life?

The SAA has crossed the Euphrates river and the bombing raid was the Syrian government’s way of serving notice on the SDF that further advances will be met with superior force.

IIRC the US coalition did the same thing to SAA when it got close to the Syrian-Iraq border.
