If she knows so little about the President’s powers as set forth in the Constitution, how far does her ignorance extend on other legal matters?

I'm not sure if that's even relevant here. Joe Arpaio WAS charged -- and convicted.

He's trying to have his conviction overturned -- and he apparently has legitimate reasons for this.

The people whose involvement in this case has now been reduced to a joke are the U.S. Justice Dept. lawyers who prosecuted the case. They have to go through a silly court proceeding to fight Arpaio's attempt to have his conviction overturned ... while knowing that Arpaio has been granted a pardon by their own boss anyway. They have to be thinking that this is a total waste of their time. Maybe they're considering a career doing something more respectable like running a meth lab or dealing heroin.

She can’t do that, and should be arrested for contempt herself if she tries.

I didn’t think you could do that. I’d have federal marshalls arrest the judge.

She was nominated by Bill Clinton. She is also very pro-illegal immigration, and strongly opposed enforcing immigration law.

ThankYou for the Clarity on this issue. You’d think someone would’ve said “ President Trump, before you sign this, you should know his lawyers are pursuing.......”

My guess is that the Constitution is pretty clear regarding the President’s powers to pardon and what can happen, and cannot happen,to the recipient of such a pardon.

You're confusing a commutation of sentence with a full pardon.

A full pardon legally means, "no conviction."

If I were Trump, I’d send a US Marshall over to arrest her.

My understanding is that a pardon makes it as if the conviction never happened.

I.E. if he is ever asked if he was convicted of a crime, he can legally answer “no”.

You're welcome!

You’d think someone would’ve said “ President Trump, before you sign this, you should know his lawyers are pursuing.......”

That's true, but I don't think it's a big deal. His pardon was clearly intended as a political move, and the timing was supposed to coincide with his visit to Phoenix last month.

Maybe they're considering a career doing something more respectable like running a meth lab or dealing heroin.

Or running guns to Mexican cartels.

Oh wait, they've already done that, haven't they?

Yup, that’s Suzy

The freak from Philadelphia and then the famous law school at the University of Iowa (hint: that’s sarcasm).

Now she thinks she can overturn the Constitution and strip the President of his powers.

She tried to overturn SB1070 but managed to only kill parts of it.
