It's interesting how the term "white supremacist" has suddenly morphed into "white nationalist," just as "global warming" morphed into "climate change." I don't think this is an accident, but a planned strategy. "

The shift equates or associates or conflates "nationalism" or "patriotism" with white supremacy, thereby discrediting the former. Now, to say that you are a "nationalist" or support national sovereignty is being made equivalent to declaring oneself to be a racist or white-supremacist. Furthermore, "whiteness" is in itself being delegitimized, made to seem as evil.
