Netanyahu says that while Israel sees the Kurdish guerillas PKK as a terrorist organization, 'it supports the legitimate efforts of the Kurdish people to achieve their own state'
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement on Tuesday that Israel supports the establishment of an independent Kurdish state.
A few days ago Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked said during a conference at the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya that "Israel and countries of the West have a major interest in the establishment of the state of Kurdistan. I think that the time has come for the U.S. to support the process."

It is time to built unity and replace Great Evil with Good.
and I support the establishment of a greater Israel.
May it be so.
About time. Actually, probably perfectly timed.
These types of evens are not planned by men.
They happen when the time is right.
So does Israel, KSA, USA, and the Kurds think Raqqa & Deir Ezzor should be part of their fantasized country? Since 98% of Kurds are Sunni, I guess so.
Well your numbers are wrong. In Iraq there are both Sunni and Shia Kurds. And there are other communities where Kurds are Christian and Ezidi.
Syria is much less Muslim in the Kurdish communities. Want to see some maps?
A sticky wicket, a messy situation.
Iran, Turkey and Iraq may have other ideas about an independent Kurdistan.......
I sent you a list of maps showing religious makeup in Iraq and Syria.
They are the best work I’ve seen.
Prior to finding this map maker, I was told by close friends in Syria what the situation really is. In both countries.
This is a touchy subject in many ME countries.
I got my numbers from “The Kurdish Project”...a non profit which supports Kurds/Kurdistan.
Well, they are wrong. It is not 98% Sunni even in the KRG district in Iraq.

The one with the legend for identifying religious groups is area around Mosul.
In KRG it is not 98% Sunni Muslim.
Would the recognize Israel. Would Christians be safe and welcome?
I read his Twitter feed. He was, or still is in the Netherlands?
I found his tweet about it being a mistake to give minorities in “Kurdistan” a voice interesting.
If you'd like to be on or off, please FR mail me.

I did not read the tweet about minorities in Kurdistan. If that meant Jihadi’s, I'd agree. Syrian Kurds make a big deal of secularism. There is an issue of unity among Kurds. Being dis-pursed in 4 nations was an English tactic to prevent unity. It worked to some extent. Culture, disembodied.
The maps structure is supported by those from there who looked at them. It is a mistake to assume a homogeneous multicultural place like KRG.
I think the answer is yes. Less sure of it in the KRG than in the North Syrian area.
