Pope Francis Blasts Trump Over DACA: 'If He's Pro-Life, He Should Defend Family Unity'
PJ Media ^ | 09-11-2017 | Michael van der Galien

Posted on 09/12/2017 1:41:30 AM PDT by Michael van der Galien

The most leftist pope in history is at it again:

"I have heard the President of the United States speak," the pope said, responding to a question from a Mexican journalist about Trump's decision. "He presents himself as a pro-life man. If he is a good pro-lifer, he should understand that the family is the cradle of life and you must defend its unity."

That sounds like a great one-liner. Sadly, however, it doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Being pro-life is about respecting a woman's pregnancy and protecting the unborn baby. It is most definitely not about family "unity."

According to the pope's "logic," pro-lifers can't support sending a woman to prison who has just murdered ten people if she has a child. After all, doing so would "separate" her from her kids.

The pope was stunningly creative in crafting his tortured reasoning:

The Pope said he is especially worried about young people who become detached from their roots and lose hope in the future, even then choosing to commit suicide. "Young people today need to re-find their roots," he said. "And anything that goes against this robs them of hope."

Ah. So being pro-life means you've got to make sure that nobody undergoes any trauma that could contribute to losing "hope." Anywhere. For whatever reason.

I don’t see the problem. Send the kids back to the parents - wherever they illegally came from - and their families will be together. DACA ‘Dreamers’ don’t have to stay here.

Exactly. Deport illegal adults. If they are decent people, they will take their illegal kids with them. Deport illegal kids. If the parents are decent, they will follow. Family unity matters.

Send families that should not be here home together.

What’s the hitch?

And while jus soli is a mess for those born of illegales here, give the parents of yet minor ones an option. Take them home (with rights to come back as citizens under current law as of majority) or give them to legal resident or citizen fosters.

"Young people today need to re-find their roots" he said.

Good point, Mr. Pope. I can't think of a better place than Mexico or El Salvador for them to do just that.

Money played no part/party to Pope’s comment as the money poured in after the Pope’s comment

Did this guy ever criticize the hypocrisy of supposed Catholics like Pelosi, Casey, Cuomo for supporting abortion in demand? Francis has no morals. He’s just another leftist agitator.

I’m okay with that. The rule of law has to be restored, and that would follow the law.

We are seeing the Catholic Church becoming a left-wing political organization.

What do we expect of a global communist in sheep clothing?

He needs to worry about the pedophile problem in the Catholic church and butt out of our illegals/border problem.

I have a fairly simple question - How does he feel about men put in jail with no access to their families? Should they be set free to be with their little ones? </sarc>

This Pope is pure Communist filth. He’s the perfect Pope to be in power during the 500th anniversary of the Reformation.

"Send the kids back to the parents -"

Better yet - send them to the Vatican.

Is this Pope a left wing politician, rather than a man of the cloth? Sure seems like it.

First of all, this asshole’s order, the Jesuits, forbids him to be Pope.
Second of all, their order should have been dissolved.
Third of all, he is an idiot and is more concerned with being a Marxist than a holy man.
As a practicing Catholic, I would like this pig to be exorcised, because he is obviously possessed by Lucifer.
