Apply background checks for gun purchases to voting
The Chicago Tribune ^ | September 11, 2017 | John R. Lott, Jr.

Republicans worry about vote fraud. Democrats claim that Republicans are just imagining things. But in testimony Tuesday before the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity, I will suggest a simple solution that could make both parties happy: Apply the background check system for gun purchases to voting.

Democrats have long lauded background checks on gun purchases as simple, accurate and in complete harmony with the Second Amendment right to own guns. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., has bragged that the checks “make our communities and neighborhoods safer without in any way abridging rights or threatening a legitimate part of the American heritage.”

completely FAIR!

Fair also would be an abortion-auditing force akin to the BATF:

We NEED to protect the lives and health of women.

Auditable records of past abortion, paid test to confirm understanding of procedure/consequences, etc.

This is a great idea but is far too logical for the average Democrat to understand and far too scary to Democrats elites who value power above everything else.

Works for me, my friends, family and probably most gun owners.

There should be some types of punishment if people lie and get caught trying to register to vote

clever but...
the D’s voting base...includes millions and millions of deceased voters....
(the Un-Deplorable Horizontals)

and they can’t commit any crimes 6 feet under... so their
background checks will presumably mostly be nice and clean

so they’ll be able to continue to vote?

What's wrong with reasoned background checks for voters?

Nope. Racist. And you’re against the poor and downtrodden. However, if they wanted to fly to some city, better haul out the ID.

And prepared to be groped and humiliated.

Voting is far more dangerous than firearms, in aggregate. Not even close. I’ve pointed this out on several occasions, and you’re right - they don’t like the idea, because it leads to an inescapable conclusion.

This is why liberals in recent years have resorted to the equivalent of sticking their fingers in their ears and yelling “la la la la la la”; they simply cannot operate in the realm of facts, logic, or reason. Therefore they have taken the next step, that is to shut down any discussion or debate or civilized discourse at all.

Damn, I never thought I’d agree with the simpletons at any major MSM outlet.
But, I would agree with this.
What’s good for the goose is good for the buttwipe liberals.
