The U.S. military on Friday pulled back surveillance aircraft that had been watching an 11-bus ISIS convoy filled with hundreds of militants and their family members -- at the request of the Russian government.
The ISIS convoy was given safe passage over 10 days ago to travel from the Lebanon-Syria border across the Syrian desert to the Iraqi border in a deal struck between Syria and Hezbollah, which angered the U.S. military.

Remember, Russia accused us of helping ISIS, now they are.
Were we going to wipe out the ISIS convoy in Syria? Or are we going to wipe it out in Iraq?
The Russians will never be friend of the USA
Who knows what’s going on. I don’t think you can trust the news media on these matters. We need to learn a lot more about this, first.
They do not want their Baath party members smoked?
Hopefully we are handing it over to the Russians to do what needs to be done.
...Since the convoy departed, U.S. drones have picked off ISIS fighters when they left the convoy to relieve themselves, according to U.S. officials...
Bwahh. I want to see that gun footage.
Where ever the convey is, it sounds like a target rich environment!
Sorry, but war is hell. Let them have it. Then they will tire of endless war.
Can there be some negotiations going on related to the UN North Korea votes coming up?
Doesn't anyone remember the "Highway of Death"? That whole convoy should be wiped out. Tough beans if there are women and children. There were women and children at Dresden and Hiroshima too.
Highway of Death, Kuwait:
The US had ample opportunity to liquidate the convoy but refused to do so. Maybe the Russians want to take care of business without prying tv cameras on them.
Notice anything about that ‘Highway of Death’ picture? The absence of bullet holes? the absence of burned out hulks? The intact fuel tanker? The undamaged pavement?
Looks like someone cleaned out the pick and pull lot and piled them up.
Looks photoshopped, more Fords, Chevy trucks, and Cadillacs, than foreign models. Odd.
Still playing shell games with Saddam’s WMDs?
they could have done that the sec they loaded up those busses, but they didn’t
The ambulance does look foreign, and perhaps the buses as well. But yes, I don’t think you’d find that high a proportion of American cars in Dallas these days.
I was thinking posed, rather than photoshopped.
What the fuhk?
