Pope Francis sustained minor injuries today after hitting his head against the vehicle in which he was traveling in Cartagena, Colombia.
A spokesman for the pope confirmed the injuries, which were captured on video, saying he has a wound on his cheekbone and eyebrow but is "fine." He is receiving "ice treatment, the spokesman added. The incident occurred while Francis, 80, was traveling in the popemobile, a customized vehicle outfitted with bulletproof glass designed to protect the pope while he greets crowds. He appeared to be leaning outside a glass panel in front of him when the vehicle stopped and his face made contact with the barrier

good maybe it will knock some sense into him...
Can’t stop smile from overtaking my face. Catholicism isn’t communist but the Pope is.
Not a fan. Not interested in seeing him injured either.
Get well soon dimwit.
At 80 yrs old he’s going to look like hairy reid after a bad morning in the gym for a while.
The driver will be blamed.
Maybe he was braking for a pigeon or a slithering snake.
I love the Catholics, and was considering a conversion from Protestant but this Commie Pope is a deal breaker.
LOL. That was my thought too.
Maybe he just doesn’t like the Pope, and saw an opportunity.
Smirk!
Maybe God is trying to get his attention?
Maybe the driver has read Italian translations of some Father Malachi Martin books.
One of his last books before his ‘unexpected’ death in 1999, was Lucifer In The Vatican.
Interesting comment. I am a Jew but were I a Christian I would be a Catholic. The problem, of course, is the massive chasm between monotheism (may I say Torah) and the very notion of a “Son,” “Triune God,” “Savior come to Earth,” etc.
What I do see as logical and right is the idea that Jesus’ followers are members of (h/H)is church, and not any interpretative outcroppings. Most hilarious and silly of all, of course, are the Christians who claim to be “Messianic” Jews.
And really, the Pope-mobile should be an Alfa Romeo.
Interesting premise (the book).
People do suddenly die, but it sure does look bad sometimes.
Fortunate for him that he didn’t injure anything important.
What was his excuse before this?
Fr. Martin had some very powerful people very upset with him.
He died at the advent of the Internet Age.
Had he lived till now, no doubt, Fr. Martin would have been exponentially influential. I used to hear him on Art Bell talk radio shows. Unlike many writers who can barely communicate live and vis-a-vi, Fr. Malachi was charismatic, very articulate and could even be humorous. He knew how to break things down in pedestrian terms, easy to understand by non-biblical historians.
I can’t keep up with the MIA. What happened to him?
You took the words right out of my mouth... verbatim.
Thanks Lee.
Sounds like a good guy to have around, and certainly a possible target.
Didn’t mean to infer otherwise.
It’s like Breitbart, you just never know.
