Former No. 1 NFL draft pick and current ESPN analyst Keyshawn Johnson, pulled his son Keyshawn Jr. out of the University of Nebraska to take an extended leave of absence.
The four-star wide receiver came to Nebraska a semester early, but struggled during spring ball, making just one catch for seven yards in the spring game. His struggles off the field were worse. It culminated with a marijuana possession citation in his dorm room. Less than two weeks later, Keyshawn Sr. made his son return home to California.

Good for him. I remember Keyshawn when he was an immature kid just stepping foot in the NFL...he’s grown up since then.
Huskers.
I’m here.
Strong stuff.
Bravo!
A real FATHER!!! Looking out for the interest of his kid!!!
Wow. Yes, he has.
Outstanding parenting! This deserves to go viral.
Jr. grew up as a rich BMW driving pussy, no work ethic pot smoker.
I do applaud Senior for jerking Jr. out of the Husker program before he totally embarrass the family.
My feeling is that Nebraska will do that on their own this year based on last nights game play.
“Don’t give my son the damn ball.”
Great Move and Hat’s off to the Dad.
I would say this Sums it up; -———————————>

I guess it’s hard to play football when you’re not motivated and high.
If he is not suited for football, so be it. Mr. Johnson may have to deal with that. Hope it works out as that is the best for his kid.
But don’t forget to keep singing the Colorado Anthem: “Pot Never Hurt Anybody”, as adapted from the Libertarian political platform.
HUGE DITTOS!!!
Way to go Dad!!!!!
How's he doing and being received in Lincoln?
I support every thing the father did about this circumstance except for one thing; he should not have revealed his son’s problems in such a widespread, public way. This method of humiliation may come back to bite the father in the long term. This reminds me of well meaning parents who will make their child stand by a busy intersection, wearing a sign saying “I stole three boxes of Skittles from Mr. Greenbergs’ Corner Store. I am a THIEF!!”
Short term benefit is clear, the boy learns greater responsibility for his actions. He also will learn this won’t be the last time he ever gets a big chance to succeed. You learn from your failure and you move on.
