Bunkerville Was Never About The Cows
It Matters How You Stand ^ | September 2, 2017 | Shari Dovale

Posted on 09/03/2017 5:00:15 PM PDT by Texas Fossil

After seeing their God-given and Constitutionally-guaranteed rights being trampled on by the over-reaching Federal alphabet agencies, people across the nation rallied to defend the rights our country was founded on.

Videos on network news stations and around the internet depicted an elderly woman being thrown to the ground by law enforcement, a man being tazed repeatedly, and a “first amendment zone” set up miles away for protesters to stay out of the way of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).

These citizens rightfully feared another Waco or Ruby Ridge encounter, and believed that citizens showing up in force, with cameras to record and witnesses to confirm, would reign-in the out-of-control government.

The government came heavily armed with hundreds of officers. They carried military-grade weapons and dressed in Battle-ready uniforms. That side of the fence looked like a war zone from Afghanistan.

The other side of the fence showed men, women, and children standing around under a highway overpass. Some had sidearms, as is legal in Nevada. Some had long guns, as is also legal in the state. Some carried protest signs, and still others rode on horseback.

This is a very detailed and to the point article from the Beginning of the Bunkerville standoff to the current state of trials, past and pending.

There are many links in the article, so I chose to excerpt it. Make your own mind up if you wanted to view the links.

The recent trial results and the list and dates of pending trials are of the most interest to me.

There is another source of this article and related stories. (one entitled: "Dan Love Will Not Be Prosecuted", did not surprise me) Source: https://redoubtnews.com/

I agree with the premise: This was not about the Cows, but other things.

I thinks this is a worthwhile read if you share my concern for government agency over reach.

Yes, it was. The Bundys tried to steal use of our public lands after previously paying grazing fees. The wrapped themselves up with armed insurrectionists, rejected federal authority, and now rightly sit in jail.

Now, can we get back to more relevant discussions like Korea, amnesty, Obamacare repeal, traitors like Ryan, McConnell, McCain, Flake, Lyn' Ted, and the rest?

It is far more complicated than you make it out to be.

The federal government used the process to wear down the Bundys.

The courts have ruled that grazing and water allocations are property that cannot be taken without compensation.

That’s only your opinion, and from what i know and have read you’re wrong! So you live on the southwest side of Reno ( off of McCarran Parkway). How does that qualify you to be a “sage” about Bunkerville?

Oh, I never intended to convey it was this simple. Only it is a good article from start to finish. There is a lot of important detail absent. Most people will not read through what is necessary to understand the last 2 years of abuse.

I agree they used the system to wear them down and twisted the entire legal system on it’s head to deny a fair trial. The Federal Prosecutors and Judges clearly abused their authority to prevent any chance of defense. But the juries have denied the success they intended. This is not about Cows. That is a fact.

Totally disagree. I’ve watched this from the beginning. I’ve never had a “government job”. I bet you cannot say that.

This story touches the very epicenter of why Trump was elected POTUS. It is absolutely relevant.

Thank you.

Others have posted more than I have about this, but I have watched the proceedings from the beginning.

I did live very near the 1st Sagebrush Rebellion. It was done through local courts and local and state law. BLM and Forest Service was not as intrusive then, nor armed with SWAT Teams. That one worked out well for local land owners. They Federal Government had to abide by local law.

Thank you. I totally agree.

And I believe the hand of God gave the US another chance then.

In the 1770s you would have been a loyalist screaming about the dignity of the monarch and his God-given majesty and right to rule. Sad.

The crux of the problem is that in Nevada the federal government owns 84.5% f all land in the state which gives them way too much power that they a is and it blatantly unconstitutional.

This map shows why the good people of the western states are tired of the federal government power grab:

Federal officers lure them out for a meeting ---they begin driving to the requested meeting location.

Along the route, numerous federal officers with high-powered weapons set-up an armed ambush of the anticipated car.

The officers lie in wait and induce a car crash by those citizens following their meeting request.

Unprovoked, the agents observe no weapons against them but make the decision murder the unarmed citizen on camera:

.

The citizen featured in the photo above dies in the government ambush.
