WASHINGTON, Aug 31 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to rescind an Obama-era policy that protects nearly 600,000 immigrants who entered the country illegally as children, but plans to let them stay until their work permits expire, a senior administration official said on Thursday.
Trump's decision could be announced as early as Friday but could also come next week, said the official, who added that the president could always change his mind.
Trump, a Republican, had pledged on the election campaign trail to scrap all of Democratic former President Barack Obama's executive orders on immigration, including the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or "Dreamers," program.
What to do about the so-called Dreamers has been actively debated within the White House and Trump administration. One senior administration official described the debate as a "tug of war" between factions in favor of the move and those opposed. Officials, believing the DACA program to be ultimately unconstitutional, want Congress to impose a legislative fix for the Dreamers, two officials said.
White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders told reporters that Trump and his senior advisers were still reviewing the DACA program and that the president not made a final decision on how to proceed. ...
Ten Republican state attorneys general in June urged the Trump administration to rescind the DACA program, while noting that the government did not have to revoke permits that had already been issued.

No backdoor amnesty either.
Thanks.
Looks like the real numbers for DACA is less than 600,000 and not the 800k like I’ve seen usually reported.
Tillis, the RINO Senator from NC wants to give them amnesty.
Give them two weeks. They could cause a lot of damage if they stay here and start taking revenge.
Handle them like American Business does when they fire someone. They get the fired people off the premises before they can cause damage/problems.
Tillis’s junk isn’t going anywhere. Not even submitted to committee as of yet.
President Trump bump. Doing as he promised. MAGA!
According to Zuckerberg’s Group, there will be 700K American Job Openings If DACA Ends!

A study by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerbergs open borders organization revealed that if an Obama-created amnesty program for young illegal aliens is ended, it would open nearly 700,000 American jobs. Zuckerbergs FWD.us group a pro-immigration lobbying group released the study with the intention to show the hardships of ending the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, where more than 850,000 young illegal aliens have been given temporary amnesty would have on the American economy.
The study claims that on average, if Trump were to repeal DACA, 30,000 American job opportunities would open up each month. FWD.us President Todd Schulte touted the results of the study as a loss for Americas business community, saying it would have severe consequences on the economy.
Eliminating DACA would have immediate and severe consequences for not only the 800,000 Dreamers enrolled in the program, but for the millions of Americans who live, work, and study with these young people every single day, Schulte said in a statement.
The study unintentionally revealed how many more job opportunities American workers would have if President Trump were to repeal DACA, as he promised his supporters he would do.
According to the FWD.us study, if DACA is repealed it would mean potentially 700,000 American jobs could open up for American citizens.

So after their work permits expire, can we assume ICE will round them up and ship them out?
President Trump should issue this immediately and then immediately implement it. I’m still not tired of winning.
Only words of lesser men who can't make any hard decisions cuz they are little flower girls, and who need safe spaces and empty accolades.
The Turk will eventually get these guys. Speaking of the 'Turk' many are on the bubble in the next 24 hrs.
PING
Make it Happen!
GOOD, GOOD, GOOD!
Good, should have been ended on Jan. 21st 2017
It was illegal and unconstitutional when Obama did it and if we had an opposition party they would have sued to stop it.
It is still illegal and unconstitutional.
No, no dreamers... it’s time for the whole family to go back to their own country.
Good, but AMNESTY LOVING “REPUBLICANS” in congress are going to try and save it. We need to be clear, NO AMNESTY. Dreamers need to go, along with their parents and families. Let them reconcile this with their parents. Start with the ones in Houston. Save us money and reduce the stress on Americans.
“Give them two weeks. They could cause a lot of damage if they stay here and start taking revenge. Handle them like American Business does when they fire someone. They get the fired people off the premises before they can cause damage/problems.”
Agreed. Tell them “no hard feelings” as they are escorted to the border, just like a company escorts a fired employee out of the building.
Tillis, like many of the R jersey wearing Senators works for the Cheap Labor Express.
Alexander, Corker, Flake, Graham, Hatch, Heller, Hoeven, Murkowsky, McCain, Rubio, Gardner, Burr, Tillis, Portman, McConnell, Thune, Cornyn, Cochran, Isackson, Blunt, Johnson, Toomey, Capito, Rounds, Fischer, Collins, Wicker, Sasse, Ernst, Young, Boozman and Shelby are all undocumented Democrats in R jerseys.
We have some serious Cantorizing to do.
Start with the Amnesty Senators
Corker, Hatch, Heller and Flake in 2018
This is not my number 1 issue, but this was Trump’s number 1 promise made to the American people. I’d hope Trump ends today’s announcement with an apology to the American people for leading them on for more than 200 days.
