Most of the folks being rescued are Mexicans, Mexican-Americans and the usual African-Americans. I’m not seeing a lot of Confederates being rescued.
Some of these people don’t realize that in Houston whites are a minority by a long shot. Somewhere around 25%.
There were both Mexican and black Confederate troops during the Civil War.
Houston admits to half a million illegals. Who knows the real number.
If anything, they are the ones doing the rescuing.
I mostly saw Texans.

A lot of the people that came in with fishing boats, pontoon boats and whatever those boats are with the big FAN on the back, to rescue ANYONE IN NEED were Confederates.
Because they have a Confederate Flag on their boat and you’re up to you butt in snakes, alligators a dirty flood water, you’re gonna say, NO to a ride out?

Actually, truth by told, probably a lot of confederates doing the rescuing. :-)
Those that are doing the rescuing are Confederates, like the Cajun Navy.
