Shouldn't the name Los Angeles, full name is El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles del Río de Porciúncula," ("The Town of Our Lady the Queen of the Angels on of the River Porciúncula) be itself eliminarted. The name was given by the Spanish and they did direct damage to the Natives.

The liberals have hated Columbus day for a long time. The recent crap just gives them an excuse to eliminate it. $hit on them.

How'bout -

Who Ate the Anasazi? Day

Analysis of coprolite[edit]

The initial reports speculating that the seven humans had been cannibalized was met with skepticism from some scientists and criticism by Native American groups including the Ute tribe. (The Ute are a separate people from either the alleged victims or the alleged perpetrators.) The Ute have a strong oral tradition of peace between their ancestors and neighboring groups, which is not necessarily in agreement with the traditions of other groups or historical information.[6]

To investigate the theory that cannibalism had been practiced at the Cowboy Wash site, Richard Marlar, a University of Colorado molecular biologist examined the coprolite (fossilized human feces) found on site and discovered it tested positive for human myoglobin, which is found in human muscle tissue. This type of myoglobin was not found in 20 'control' coprolites in comparable sites.[7] This indicated the feces contained the remains of digested human flesh.[8] Malar also found the myoglobin protein during a chemical analysis of a cooking pot at the ancient Anasazi site.

Libs can’t decide who they hate more. Columbus, Cortez or the 1620 Pilgrims.

No matter, if Columbus had never been born the Americas would still have been found in 1500 by Pedro Álvares Cabral, and people still trapped in the Stone Age would still have been forced into a modern world.

How about calling it “get your civil servant butt back to work Monday” and remove it as a holiday in Los Angeles.

I’m a bona fide defined by The Ol’ West term ‘half-breed’.

I’ve been a half-breed for 65 years and still tickin’.

In 2nd grade, I had to use a #3 pencil to draw the good ships Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria for Columbus Day. My father told me that America would not have come to be as it was, on that day, if Columbus had not made the voyage. I, would not be who I am, and might not have all the fortunes of life awaiting me.

So, with all those confused folks out there, I am standing on principle, and claiming it Columbus Day.

(My drawings won second prize that day in school.)
Katrina ate them.
