The first lady started her morning in Texas wearing a classic stiletto but by the afternoon, the former model proved to the Twitterverse that she can pull off a look with a classic sneaker, too.
Melania Trump made her way to Corpus Christi, Texas, alongside President Donald Trump, in a smart white collared blouse with black trousers and Adidas Stan Smith sneakers.
The low-cut white leather shoes feature perforated Three Stripes and a color contrast heel tab in black. Theyre available for $60 on adidas.com.
She completed the look with another departure from her usual wardrobe topped off with a hat emblazoned with: FLOTUS (which stands for first lady of the United States).
Donald opted for Nikes.
Earlier in the day, Melania and President Trump made their arrival to Texas to tour flood zones amid the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.
While the president had on sturdy footwear by Caterpillar, some observers questioned the practicality of Melanias high heels by Manolo Blahnik. The shoes feature a pointed-toe profile on a sexy 4-inch stiletto heel. Theyre available in several styles for $595 on neimanmarcus.com.
She teamed the heels with a black top and matching trousers that cut just above the ankle, and a green bomber jacket.
Are we supposed to be outraged by the sneakers, too?
:D
I would have liked to have seen the fashion political news over the attire that LBJ wore. The fact that we even reach this level of discussion is a sign that the news folks are searching for just about anything to hype on. If they knew that Trump was using a triple-ply of toilet paper instead of the normal two-ply....that would get front-page coverage for an entire day.
Melania showed the libtards that she is smart enough to pack extra shoes!
It would have been awesome if she’d rocked a pair of Doc Martens.
:D
OMG! Hot! Hot! hot!...Hot enough to dry up the flood waters in Texas.
Did you know that Hillary Clinton made the front page of “Red China Fashions” magazine because of the Mao suits she wore?
Oh, you didn’t? I guess “Footwear News” didn’t pick up the story.
Hurricane? What hurricane?
Just curious....is there a fashion trend for Hurricane attendance? I wouldn’t want to show up with the wrong attire.
Others have pointed out that they are very white.....
Always the attacks. And trival things being touted as News.
I guess that means her sneakers are racist? What a bunch of scum bags.
Wow, the author actually just reported fashion-pertinent information without much in the way of political commentary, aside from the price of the shoes. I remember Michelle Obama’s $700+ designer sneakers while she was handing out food at a food bank. I’ve only found that she went to Haiti after their earthquake. Has anyone found any disaster zone she’s visited on US soil? The Katrina anniversary doesn’t count.
What’s wrong with Melania Trump?
Everything she says, everything she does, and everything she wears.
Just ask the Washington (he was a slave owner, you know) comPost. They’ll tell you all about it, in an absolute logorrhea of idiotic blather.
She did look hot in the shirt, pony tail and hat yesterday. Libs must be fuming.
But are the supremely white?
Nike/Nazi.
It’s just a small jump.
/if I rolled my eyes any harder, I’d see my brain
[I would LMAO if the libs boycotted Nike, now]
Every time a Republican is POTUS, all we hear about is homeless people, racism, Nazis and the KKK.
Sick of it.
Tyranny and Fascism is fine when *they* do it, though.
-—>insert string of profanity, here
The Dems are demonically possessed.
Demons howl when confronted by anything good.
There is no other rational explanation.
They are just a fashion oriented publication.
Don't count on seeing unbiased reports about Melania's change to sneakers in any of the publications that attacked her for wearing stilettos to walk from the White House to Marine One.
‘Footwear News’? Really? Ye gads.
