Most federal judges carry. In Texas judges are required to carry. In Kansas they are allowed to carry and come in through a separate door to avoid the screening.

I had a great-uncle who was a judge in Pennsylvania. He always carried. He lived way out in the boonies. Our family always worried that someone he sent to prison would get out and come looking for him.

Indiana judges are allowed to carry w/o permit; they are exempt as the statute defining the “law enforcement officers” exemption includes judges and prosecutors. However, there is no requirement that a judge carry, nor is there any established course of firearms training for judges.

There should be.
