Binary chemicals? Mixture creates heat and gas and produces ammonium nitrate. Good for 300-1000 days. 3-6 times more productive than standard fracking.
Hope this is true and not a Ponds and Fleishman claim.

The other upside in the technology, the Russians claim, is that the main component in the chemical reactions is ammonium nitrate, which is often used as fertilizer. .. ammonium nitrate, which is often used as BOMB MAKING MATERIAL!.................

So instead of injecting water into the ground, it’s chemicals. I can see heads exploding already.

Probably invented by ; Gorinski. Kin to the famous inventor of the internet and writer/producer of a few “hit” movies, America’s most bazaar citizen, a winner of the Nobel Peace Price in 2007, and famous for such quotes as, “Airplane travel is nature’s way of making you look like your passport photo.”
And the most remembered of his intelligent interjections:
“A zebra does not change its spots.”

Ammonium nitrate is cheap to make and could be made near the oil well site. That right there eliminates the enormous cost of shipping fracking sand to the oil well site.

“thermochemical gas fracturing” - thousand of small, simultaneous explosions that fracture the surrounding rock planes, creating their own material for propping open the fractures.
Sounds like it could work.

Might be the kind of stuff to inexpensively cook out the oil from oil shale kerogen in the green river basin.
The key word is cheap/inexpensive.
