Walk away & never look back. How do they do it? No conscience. Sad

I don't know.

When I was younger, I wanted to marry, but all the girls I knew that I desired were not into marriage, so I married late ... 34

After 21 years, Debbie went home to be with the Lord and 6 celibate years later, I remarried.

I have never understood how anyone ....... man OR woman, could live together for years, have children and then just end it.

The same thing happened to Jackie Gleason. "Pops" walked out on him and his mother when Jackie was only 10 years old.

Jackie told his biographer that losing his father like that left a huge hole in his heart, and may have been the kick start to his drinking and eating problems.

Sad, but not terribly unusual. I know at least three people whose fathers up and walked away during their childhoods. Moms do it too. Some people just aren't cut out to be parents.

Woody Guthrie did that. Left his wife and kids in dire circumstances, and they suffered terribly.

He seemed to be an authentic artist (and the Left idolizes him), but he certainly had that dark side. Later in life he suffered from Huntington's chorea. Don't remember the whole story, but maybe some of his children had forgiven him and came to be by his side before the end.
