FULL TITLE: If Confederate Statues Are 'Reprehensible', Why Didn't Nancy Pelosi Remove Them When She Had the Power as Speaker?
Last week House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi demanded Speaker Paul Ryan remove all confederate statues from the U.S. Capitol. In a statement, Pelosi said the statues have "always been reprehensible" and insisted they be taken down, despite the Capitol acting as a museum for all kinds of American history.
“The halls of Congress are the very heart of our democracy. The statues in the Capitol should embody our highest ideals as Americans, expressing who we are and who we aspire to be as a nation," Pelosi said. “The Confederate statues in the halls of Congress have always been reprehensible. If Republicans are serious about rejecting white supremacy, I call upon Speaker Ryan to join Democrats to remove the Confederate statues from the Capitol immediately."
“Under the leadership of Democrats in Congress, we have recognized more women and people of color in Congress’s collection of statues, including Rosa Parks, Sojourner Truth and Helen Keller. As Speaker, we relocated Robert E. Lee out of a place of honor in National Statuary Hall – a place now occupied by the statue of Rosa Parks," she continued. “There is no room for celebrating the violent bigotry of the men of the Confederacy in the hallowed halls of the United States Capitol or in places of honor across the country.”

And always will.
First let's remove the statues of any leader or policy maker or public figure associated with the promotion or practice of slavery.
Secondly let rename anything named after such any slavery promoting politician.
Thirdly let us reprimand any political party that has had a history of supporting slavery.
Fourthly let us require any politician serving in such a party to step down from office.
Fifthly let us require those that served in any such party or publicly endorsed any such party to pay reparations to those who promoted and supported political parties with a history of supporting the abolition of slavery.
Always remember it was the Democrats who put these memorial up in the first place.
But again... It is notorious now.
Who looked at a Confederate monument and shook their heads and said “those Democrats”?
These smart hounds have now just about treed themselves.

Actually, though, it would be somewhat logical if their tree-top enlightened motto turns out to be:

Actually, as Dinesh D points out, the Nazis were influenced by the American Left: FDR, Sanger, etc. Not the other way around.
Germans should be in their streets protesting US Democrats and Planned Parenthood.
Why didn’t she take them down when she was Speaker?
Why didn’t any of the black reps demand they be taken down when Obama and her were in charge?
Could it be they couldn’t be used as a political weapon against their enemies?
