Checking in....as I said on another thread, I hope he announces troops are going in to wipe out the opium fields, contaminate the soil so they can’t be replanted, and drop a few moabs on the Taliban, then hightail it out of there.

Trump doesn’t want to let Afghanistan fall to the Taliban and terrorists again. I understand. Would have been better to send 40,000 troops if he is going to make this move. Blitz it and wipe out the enemy ruthlessly or get the heck out.

If his decision is to increase troops, spending, commitment, I hope he is clear about what the objective is.
The original objective was to capture Bin Laden and break the Al Quaeda leadership and replace the Taliban in power.
Have we not done that? So what are we still doing there?
