Thousands of people protested against an alleged “white supremacist” rally in Boston on Saturday.
Multiple outlets, journalists, politicians and other public figures declared that the event that drew an estimated 40,000 people to protest against was racist in nature.
ThinkProgress covered the rally with this headline, “White supremacist rally fizzles, overtaken by massive anti-racism march.” The story mocked the idea that it was a “free speech” rally, stated that there it would draw “attendees from the same white supremacist groups that marched on Charlottesville last weekend,” and that some Klansmen had announced they would attend the rally.
In a viral tweet that was retweeted over 50,000 times, musician Mikel Jollet said, “The hate speech rally in Boston has about 100 white supremacists and TWENTY THOUSAND peaceful protestors…”
The mayor of Boston, Marty Walsh, also stated that the event was intended to spread a “message of hate.”
In response to conservative commentator Ben Shapiro’s skepticism that the rally was white supremacist, Politico Magazine editor-in-chief Blake Hounshell cited the fact that there was one man in attendance who wore a shirt celebrating the “14 words” — a popular neo-Nazi slogan.
However, by all appearances, the Boston free speech rally was not white supremacist. The organizers of the event denounced racism prior to Saturday and dropped the one speaker who had any involvement with the alt-right rally in Charlottesville last week.

Brand any rally as white supremacists and nazi, to allow the liberal/lefists to look like freedom fighters.

The Boston Police Commissioner in his post rally news conference identified the two groups as the Pro Free Speech Group and the Anti Free Speech Group. The Anti Free Speech Group were the so called counter protesters. This made me smile. I don’t think he even realized the truth and significance of what he said. He did allow that Anti Free Speech Group was there to fight against hate.
Does anyone know where to see a video of the Pro Free Speech speeches or where to read transcripts? I would also like to know if anyone expressed hate or racism.
I was born in Massachusetts and was always proud of the Pro Liberty history of its early people. Yesterday’s Anti Free Speech Group does not reflect this proud history. It’s a shame.

Any non-leftist demonstration is just a magnet for the local chapters of the “losers of 2016” to congregate. If white people organized a “Barack Obama Day” in Boston the same protestors would have shown up (to get their signs in front of the cameras)...
Not a white supremacist gathering at all. Anyone can look up the organizers of the Boston free speech rally, it’s really easy.
The counter protestors didn’t get fired up about it until the city of Boston labeled it as right-wing extremist, and then it exploded.
They could have just had a small public protest and been done with it, but the media and leftists, but I repeat myself, blew it up.
It is obvious to all but the radically rabid leftist mob that this attempt to shut down ANY speech counter to the leftist propaganda is “hate speech”. We CANNOT allow city Mayors, Governors, the hatefilled media and anti crowd deny American their Constitutionally guaranteed free speech.
I caught a short piece of the pro speech presentation, live streamed and on Right Side. It was the tail end of the guy running against Warren, and he was railing against Monsanto. After that, the next person remarked on that fact (that the pro speech rally had a bit of what I would call "liberal" sentiment being expressed) and said that the group would welcome anybody from the other side of the barricades to join them to speak. Shortly after that, the cops shut down the rally, supposedly "by mutual agreement."
The press reports that the free speech rally was "right wing" are given with ZERO evidence.
