Late last week, President Trump criticized Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell over the Senates failure to pass a health care repeal bill before the August recess, raising the question of whether the Kentucky Senator should step down from his position. Even one third of his fellow Republicans think thats a good idea.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 36% of Likely Republican Voters think it would be good for the United States if McConnell stepped down as Senate majority leader, while 17% believe it would be bad for the country. Another 35% of GOP voters feel if McConnell stepped down as the top Republican in the Senate, it would have no impact. Twelve percent (12%) are undecided.

WOW! That’s going to leave a mark
I be trying that first number really is an 8, but they are probably a Turtle and Worthless Ryan sympathizer.
Only a third?
100% in this household
You beat me to it.
ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of the 62 MILLION that voted for President Trump want them gone!
What’s this 36% BS? ;)
That sucks, it should be 75%+ want these jokers gone, at the very least a majority.
Can we please pay attention!! This is why Juan McCain and Linda Gramesty continue to get reelected
Like the other side, feeding frenzies are welcome
Come on in, the water’s warm
They don’t get to vote.
Me too... the sooner the better
I cannot believe it’s only 1/3 of repubs. I guess I am living in a different world. Every R that I know wants him gone. I guess Flake, Corker and Heller have nothing to worry about.
What the F is wrong with two thirds of America’s “republicans?”
#CantorThemAll
Count me with the third that want McConnell gone. He’s corrupted the Senate so that it stays filled with his stooges who serve him rather then men who serve the country.
Bet 80% have know idea what is even happening..
My daughter and her husband have no idea at all..they do not watch the news..
They have kids and work..
Precisely.
If yurtle goes, he will be replaced with another GOPe RINO. They're everywhere, a real problem.
35% think it would have no impact for him to step down, only 17% think it would be a bad thing.
The question I have is, who is there in the House and the Senate who are Republican populists who are also good strategists. It is clear that on both the Right and the Left, populism is enjoying a resurgence, no doubt due to the excesses of the elites and their lap dogs in Washington. If we found good old style Republicans, who believe that people should be able to chart their own course and not be held down and divided by identity politics, you stand an excellent chance of getting most of America back on the same page and pulling together.
I get where the 35% who think even with McConnell stepping down things won’t change. They’ll just replace McTurtle with another RINO, globalist squish NeverTrumper type. To enact the Trump agenda spells the end of the Deep State, and a lot of Republicans have dirty hands when it comes to them.

The problem is the firebrand types like Cruz all hate Trump more than they love their country. They’d rather see Trump fail then help him defeat those who smear THEIR supporters as Nazi.
IMHO and as a resident of the great state of South Carolina, linda gats reelected for just one reason: We have open primaries here in SC. Close that loophole and linda is gone in 2020.
