I know graduates of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science who have spent most of the past decade submitting their applications to companies like Intel, not even to receive the most basic courtesy of a professional response.

When Intel doesn’t even bother to “shop” the domestic market, how dare they claim they need foreign nationals to conduct their business.

Trump needs to play hardball with these corporate elites. No more foreign workers, no more subsidies, no more exemptions from laws.

Tax dodgers. The Dems have always been and will always be the party of slave labor.

http://www.myvisajobs.com/Reports/2017-H1B-Visa-Sponsor.aspx

Intel was listed recently as #22 of the top 100 H1B visa companies with 1647. The move for 8000 is nothing but hate.

Trump should LOUDLY sponsor legislation that requires H1b employees are to be paid at 150% of the highest wage for that position in the company. If there is truth to the position that a shortage of domestic employees compels importing alternative labor, there should be a premium paid in such emergency situations. Emergency medicine is more expensive than routine care, emergency shipping costs more than normally scheduled shipping and rush production is more expensive than normal scheduled production. Under no circumstances should a company expect to save money by replacing American workers with foreign ones.

I was looking for job, 99% recruiters were making calls from India.
Idiots have no idea of US geography or culture.

US citizenship was big NO for them.

Because a lot of American companies don’t want to hire Americans. Even at rates well-competitive to H-1B. They’ll still pay $45-$65 an hour for those services through a middle-man. Shoot even $30 and while a lot of folks are good, their English isn’t (not all some have excellent English - I’m sure I couldn’t speak their language LOL).

I was in contact with a recruiter on an out-of-state job a few weeks ago that might have been promising (though the first promise was local). His English was so bad I could not understand at least 50% of what he was saying - even with repeated attempts. I’m not coming down on the guy, but if you’re going to be contacting Americans, it helps. I had to give up because we couldn’t accomplish a thing. And I’ve communicated with folks from India, Pakistan, etc. for decades. The guy was trying - we just couldn’t get it all together. It was like pulling spaghetti through fine-wire mesh. Finally you just give up.
