Intel CEO Who Bailed on Trump Manufacturing Council Sought 8K H-1B Workers for U.S. Jobs

A CEO who bailed on President Donald Trump’s now-defunct American Manufacturing Council imported workers to take jobs in the United States. Intel CEO Brian Krzanich left Trump’s manufacturing council after he disagreed with the response to the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia.

“I resigned because I want to make progress, while many in Washington seem more concerned with attacking anyone who disagrees with them,’’ Krzanich wrote in a blog post. “We should honor—not attack—those who have stood up for equality and other cherished American values.’’

But, as Trump’s manufacturing council was set up to bring back manufacturing and jobs to the U.S., Intel has been doing just the opposite since 2013.

Since 2013, the Intel Corporation attempted to import more than 8,000 H-1B workers. At the same time, as Breitbart News reported, the company under Krzanich’s direction laid off 12,000 Americans last year.

I know graduates of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science who have spent most of the past decade submitting their applications to companies like Intel, not even to receive the most basic courtesy of a professional response.

When Intel doesn’t even bother to “shop” the domestic market, how dare they claim they need foreign nationals to conduct their business.

Back in 2013, when I took early retirement from Intel, the next week, 500 job reqs were opened in India.
BK is the worst CEO Intel has ever had and for the most part is hated within the company.
No one says anything as they don’t want to get fired.

Piece of garbage company. Hire foreigners so they don’t have to pay them as much and they don’t have to give them competitive benefits. Sick mofo’s.

Trump needs to play hardball with these corporate elites. No more foreign workers, no more subsidies, no more exemptions from laws.

So many movies in Hollywood seem to have an “evil” corporation with an “evil” CEO. Well, they are not all wrong. The liberal ones usually are. Greedy, anti-American, liberal corporations.

Types like BK are traitors who sell out US citizens.

They get a paycheck from the private sector. Traitors like the typical dim pol get paid by us.

“We should honor—not attack—those who have stood up for equality and other cherished American values.’’ Like hiring Americans, BK?

Seems these perps are playing the SJW card to exit a group, but it’s just to obscure their real deal.

Tax dodgers. The Dems have always been and will always be the party of slave labor.

Of course. The CEOs spend their time on councils in DC not for the public good but for the purpose of crony-capitalism. Be gone.

The administration needs to make public ALL H1B requests. Show Americans just whose “values” these companies really cherish.

Intel was listed recently as #22 of the top 100 H1B visa companies with 1647. The move for 8000 is nothing but hate.

I’m sure it was all due to the Intel CEO struggling to live off of his seven to eight figure salary.

Give him a break. He only makes $15 million a year.

Trump should LOUDLY sponsor legislation that requires H1b employees are to be paid at 150% of the highest wage for that position in the company. If there is truth to the position that a shortage of domestic employees compels importing alternative labor, there should be a premium paid in such emergency situations. Emergency medicine is more expensive than routine care, emergency shipping costs more than normally scheduled shipping and rush production is more expensive than normal scheduled production. Under no circumstances should a company expect to save money by replacing American workers with foreign ones.
