A good sentiment, but I doubt that it would have much effect. Their bottom line might be a little less, but they will still have plenty of customers. There is some saying along the lines of : No one ever went broke by pandering to the lowest common denominator.

I don’t watch any of this garbage. History Channel, Military History and TCM are pretty much all I ever watch, and very little at that.
I think Hollywood is angry over the election results for a few reasons. They are angry that the “little people” didn’t listen to them and vote for Hillary. That was a huge blow to their huge egos. They also aren’t affected by the economy, Obamacare, jobs, etc, and really only care about social issues and pet causes (climate change).
Some of their shows have become unwatchable. I had to quit watching Orange is the New Black when they portrayed military veterans as evil.
An Emmy is nothing more than a peer recognition award (ie a popularity contest).

The actual TV manufacturers, those that make the “hard”ware I imagine tend to lean conservative, whereas the “soft”ware makers, the shows, are libs.
That’s a key difference between conservatives and liberals in life in general. Conservatives are the makers of the hard, material stuff, liberals the soft, ephemeral stuff.
TDS is real. Millions of leftists suffer from it and will never recover. They will die with massive amounts of hate in their hearts for people who disagree with them in an ideological way. Their world view and mental illness manifests itself in this Trump Derangement Syndrome until they become what they claim to hate; fascists.
I do remember those days too, and I miss them.
I have tried joining Netflix about 10 years ago, but could never find any movies that I wanted. Oh slight correction. I did find movies that wanted, they just didn't have them
I didn’t know that either, but it must be something new. I have Firestick and watch occasionally a movie from Amazon. I don’t watch HBO.
My husband and I used to go to bed practically every night Monday - Friday with Johnny Carson on TV.
