EXCLUSIVE: ‘Poisonous Atmosphere’ Grips McMaster’s National Security Council As Accusations Fly
dailycaller.com ^ | Richard Pollock

Finger-pointing erupted within the National Security Council following a major leak to The Washington Post of telephone transcripts between President Donald Trump and the leaders of Mexico and Australia, The Daily Caller News Foundation’s Investigative Group has learned. And as the U.S inches closer to war with North Korea, the White House body charged with discussing and coordinating U.S. foreign policy is engulfed in what one administration official called a “poisonous environment.”

Initial leak accusations from two White House officials focused on Megan Badasch, the National Security Council (NSC) deputy executive secretary, who manages the NSC’s document portal. The portal included transcripts of his discussions, which makes her one of three people with access to the leaked documents. But three others within the White House say Badasch had nothing to do with the leaks, and the finger-pointing is a reflection of growing divisions within the NSC under Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster.

Three current administration officials interviewed by TheDCNF blame the volatile McMaster for the atmosphere and for a growing demoralization among the staff. One official characterized the NSC under his leadership as a “poisonous environment.”

If they know this, they must know who, then.

Just check all Obama's employees.

Anyone who has continued to grant security clearances to Hillary Clinton and Susan Rice ought to have been fired weeks ago. McMaster is either evil or stupid.

Why are people in govt that get caught with felonies only fired? Time for that to change.

On Drudge I see that the FBI raids Manafort’s home. I guess Mueller is the only one playing hardball.

The Susan Rice thing is actually disinformation. She received access only to her work product, which she needs if she is being interrogated or brought before congress. She does not have access to all documents.

I think McMaster has problems in many areas, but there is a deliberate effort going on to demonize McMasters and remove him. The fact that lies are being used to accomplish this, rather than his actual problems, might inevitably lead to a backlash. Bannon could actually lose his job if he is in any way connected with this campaign.

Badasch? Who wouldn’t like that for a last name?

It’d be nice if the Daily Caller could stay above the “un-named sources” nonsense...

The Rats and MSM celebrated when McMaster was picked I remember that very clearly. He dumped some very good people. He dismisses the unmasking charges. He has a long rep on being soft on the muzzies and is not exactly a friend of Israel. His is a Soros plant and he needs to go. But don’t worry he won’t be going anywhere. Trumps excruciating inaction to threats within his own house will continue.

Your argument is the same one advanced by Sundunce over at the conservative treehouse. Unfortunately it based not on evidence, but faith. The teality is that mcmasters does not share trumps viiew on most issues. He should be replaced.

Sundance is disappointing on this issue. After he pushed it pretty hard, site traffic was down for a few days.

Sometimes, Sundance goes off the rails. For example right after the election, Sundance went after Sean Hannity saying that Hannity was about to turn on Trump.

This memo is another example. Clearly McMaster's memo says that Rice isn't required to have a "need-to-know" for access to any documents that she has seen in the past. Obviously, not removing the standard need-to-know requirement would make Rice's access subject to micromanagement by the current Trump administration. Removing the need-to-know gives Rice more of a free rein on when she can see the specific documents. McMaster is wrong for allowing that.

Lots of back biting about McMaster that may be the result of hurried vetting. Good generals are not necessarily good NSC advisors if their personal views contradict the Pres. But can the WH stand another firing of a top aide favored by the MSM?

I’ll tell you who should be fired. Whoever is in charge of vetting the WH top staff and the departments of the Cabinet. They are picking them with little information it seems beyond their previous achievements that won them applause from the MSM.

Remember how the MSM and Never Trumers sighed with relief when McMasters was appointed. The most common remarks were that Trump now had an adult in the WH. The implication was that there was someone with the military bearing to discipline Trump and to change his thinking on national security issues.

The problem seems to be that Trump has no ‘swamp experience” and doesn’t know anyone that can help him make appointments in line with his agenda. That’s the downside of an outsider in power in the WH.

The MAIN thing for me is, is McMaster antisemitic? With all the finger pointing and name calling, it’s difficult to know what source to trust. I can’t believe Trump would have someone that was antisemitic with his son in law there. What I do know is God will not bless a country that hates Israel. Dems say Banister is anti Jew and McMaster is a leftover from Obama. This needs to be cleared up fast. The solar eclipse is coming on Elul 1 with Trumpets on Tisheri 1. This is the year of Jubilee. Virgo has Jupiter coming out of her womb.( Rev 12) The Bible tells us to Watch! Trump just quoted that if NK keeps going, “it will be a day like the world has never seen”, almost a quote from Scripture. America will be judged if we turn on Israel.

More evidence, if any more evidence was needed, that the entire West Wing leaks like a sieve.
