Rep. Maxine Waters: Trump ‘Believes in Nothing’ and Will Be Impeached by December
Townhall.com ^ | August 8, 2017 | Lauretta Brown

Rep Maxine Waters (D-CA) has been getting quite a bit of attention lately for her strong opposition to President Trump and frequent calls for his impeachment. She called President Trump “the worst” president she’s ever seen in a recent interview with “The Breakfast Club” saying he “believes in nothing.”

"I think he believes in nothing," Waters said. "I think that he cares about nothing. I think that he's capable of doing outrageous things."

"I believe it is possible to impeach him,” she said. “How long is it going to take? I don't know, but I give it to about December."

The interviewer then reminded her that the vice president would then become president.

“Could be and we’ll get him next,” she replied.

She called Trump a “a deplorable human being” who “mimicked and mocked a disabled journalist, talked about grabbing women by their private parts, stalked Hillary Clinton.”

Her stalking comment is likely in reference to the way then-candidate Trump worked the stage during an October presidential debate.

Waters said he should be impeached not only because of “the way he conducted himself during the campaign" but because "we learned a lot about his allies and his associates who had ties to Russia and to the Ukraine and to oil and so I knew that this was someone who had been involved with collusion with the Russians in undermining our democracy.”

This is nothing new for Rep. Waters who was honored Saturday evening at BET’s “Black Girls Rock!” celebration.

Waters thanked her peers, saying that if it wasn’t for the "love and respect" shown to her by black women, her Republican counterparts would "have me believe I’m too black, I’m too confrontational, that I’m too disrespectful of them."

“Not only will we resist you, we will impeach you, Donald Trump” she said to a cheering crowd.

Waters called Trump a “disgusting, poor excuse of a man” and slammed his Cabinet as “ill-prepared, right-wing billionaires” at an Emily's List gala in May.

I’ll give her 1 thing. On August 15th, she turns 79.....she does not look her age at all. I think she could get away with saying she is 55.

I heard that yesterday.

To me, it is incomprehensible to put her in charge of anything, let alone being third in line of succession.

I guess it simply goes to show you how thin their herd has come.

Thank you for the reply. It is true that the antipathy and resentfulness is making many on Capitol Hill incapable of rational thought (not that they are all that capable of it in the first place). And I do agree there will be a push at some point to remove Trump from office. They are ganging up on the unwanted and despised outsider who dares to shine a light on their ineptitude, lies, corruption and malfeasance.

However, my view is that the base is extremely angry at the Republican Party. The GOP funded everything Obama wanted, they lied repeatedly about repealing Obamacare, and they have never really supported the president. If the GOP adds impeachment to this list, the party is done. No donations, no votes, no support.

The Gutless Old Party is weak and foolish, but I don’t think they could be that self-destructive. They know the base may be unhappy with GOP failures and lies, but that it will not tolerate the supreme disloyalty of voting to impeach our president.

I guess we will find out soon enough.

Maxine should become the face of the Dim party for the 2018/20 election cycle. Simply make her ‘the’ one voice for the left and get out of her way.

Looking or listening to the shriveled up hag is like fingernails running down a chalkboard.

Here’s a big difference between Democrats and Republicans: Republicans constantly critique and attack other Republicans along the entire spectrum of Republican thought for the things they say and the ideas they espouse. However, unless it is campaign season and rat candidates are running against each other in a primary, Democrats are largely silent about their fellow Democrats and strangely silent about the lunatic fringe of their party. Instead the rants of irrational politicians like Maxine Waters become easily repeated talking points. Repeat lies enough and they become accepted truth by the masses of ignorant voters. Maxine is not an embarrassment to Democrats. She is a useful tool of the Left.

The party is already on thin ice with voters. This would be the absolute last straw. The GOP brand would be destroyed if they did this. So, impeachment is a pipe dream.

Bingo!!!!!!!! Mass exodus of Trump voters. Voters would vote independent or not all.

Yep. Trump voters are here to stay long after Trump is out of the White House. And the GOP better wake up to that fact.

"I think that he cares about nothing."

How telling. Maxine must regard the Constitution, national security, national sovereignty, secure borders, safe neighborhoods, good jobs, prosperity, and the American worker as "nothing." After all, those are the things that Trump believes in.
