Like many young women, Ria Cooper dreams of one day getting married and having children. But the 23-year-old knows the odds are stacked against her. Not only because she was born a boy, but because she has now switched gender an astonishing three times in her short life.
Ria who was born Brad became Britains youngest sex-swap patient at 15. Doctors controversially backed her belief she was a girl in a boys body.
She was given blockers to stop her going through puberty, followed by injections of female hormones to impede face and chest hair and trigger the formation of breasts.
But with her life spiralling out of control as she struggled with her new identity and the fears of never being accepted as a woman Ria decided to transition back and live her life instead as a gay man.
Before having crucial surgery, she ended her treatment and became Brad again soon after her 18th birthday.

Now we know why it is called “practicing medicine”.
This is what happens when you cater to a mental illness and then get doctors to perform body mutilation.
indulging mental illness. NHS had money for this but not for treating real ailments.
A switch before surgery? So it wasn’t really a switch?
So after surgery is performed to remove male organs, are they put in a jar during a warranty period, or frozen like Ted Williams’ head? Or, is there a donor program for new parts? If the latter, people better be careful what they agree to when they sign up to be a donor.
No NHS money for Charlie Gard. :(
What a wonderful and enlightened age we live in when so many professional people are willing to go to such lengths to humor a person’s delusions.
Maybe they could use velcro to attach whatever “parts” go with the day’s fantasy?
We used to help the mentally ill, now we mutilate them for money.
self mutilation does not a woman make.
Homos and trans freaks are simply not sane.
If she feels like a rabbit tomorrow, should doctors try to make her bunny ears. Whatever they do, they cannot make her a rabbit just like they cannot make him a woman.
If there must be socialized medicine, it should not cover anything outside of the "life, limb, eyesight" paradigm (that's what governs treatment by military health care providers when dealing with non-military patients). The luxuries, like abortion, fertility treatments, genital mutilation, elective plastic surgeries, etc., should never be covered by a socialized system. I include fertility treatments because there is no way a person should be allowed to incur costs of $16,000 or more on fertility treatments to get pregnant with a baby that they then turn around and abort. If they genuinely want a baby, they can spend their own money--and if they spend their own money, it's unlikely they'll get pregnant and then kill the kid a few weeks later.
Doesn’t matter. Nothing will change the X/Y chromosome count. More like an idiot trapped in the cranial cavity for the space for a brain which is not usable at the moment because all the chemistry is all goofed up.
A normal woman has raging hormonal ‘imbalances’ with the correct chromosomes, can one imagine what will happen to this dolt when it comes time for menopause?
The odds are not just stacked against him. The odds are a 500 foot high titanium wall.
And no help for Charlie
Addadicktomethatusedtobemine?
Charlie Gard was taken care of in a charity hospital, and the care they gave him prolonged his life by several months.
No amount of money in the world could have saved him. The disease he had literally prevented normal function in every cell of his body. There is no cure for that. Modern medicine can do a lot, but it cannot fix a body when every cell is defective.
There it is.
