Sorry, but I don’t care how you felt on election night. Not anymore.

"I am not ashamed to admit I am more afraid than ever,” writes novelist Meredith Russo. For novelist Mira Jacob, the moment evoked the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001: “At four [a.m.], I bolted awake with a surge of fear I have not felt for fifteen years.” And writer Nicole Chung recalls how, that evening, she and her husband “would remain up for hours, alternately swearing and reaching for each other’s hands in bleary and increasing panic.”

Stanford University scholar Jeff Chang emphasizes how Trump capitalizes on such emotions — “fear is the lubricant of demagoguery,” he says — but in their introductions to “Radical Hope,” Pulitzer winner Junot Diaz and editor Carolina De Robertis stress that fear can propel more constructive reactions. “We need to connect courageously with the rejection, the fear, the vulnerability that Trump’s victory has inflicted on us,” Diaz writes. Once the shock settles, “faith and energy will return,” he assures.

“We can either silence ourselves and live in fear, or we can stand even taller and speak,” De Robertis explains. “Dissent is verbal resistance.”

As fear passes, some hope does emanate from the pages of “Radical Hope.” Writer Parnaz Foroutan addresses women who are immigrants, exiles and refugees in America, urging them to “pay no heed to the darkness, the open mouth of greed, the hateful speech, the walls and the guns. . . . America is yours.”

"Despite months of looking, I never managed to meet a liberal New Yorker who thought of Trump supporters as anything other than an undifferentiated bloc of subhuman troglodytes,” writes Princeton University lecturer Boris Fishman...

Uh, that would correctly be subhuman troglodyte deplorables - and pretty damn proud of it.

It’s not every country that can organize a stealth revolution and take over the government without firing a shot, so these sore losers ought to be thankful for the patience and patriotism of Trump supporters. And if they think their war against the President’s supporters, waged mainly by their media and judicial branches, is going to succeed, they are fools.

Is there some way of fanning the flames of anxiety in leftists, until the newest trend among them is to commit mass suicide - you know, crying out “Hillary forever!” or “We were cheated!” or “Russia! Russia! Russia!” as their final words before oblivion?

If anyone misses them (which is doubtful) we can comfort their families by telling them they died for one of their favorite causes, like global warming, abortion “rights” or transgender equality.

——Is there some way of fanning the flames of anxiety in leftists-—

Of course. Begin talking in terms of indictments, hundreds of indictments with multiple charges each.

Think 1943. Think SHAEF.. Think Eisenhauer, think Normandy June 1944. Think victory.

With the appointment of the new FBI director, several divisions and their weapons were landed in England. It is late 1943 in the DOJ

(The Democrats know it and are very very scared. They are on the very edge of panic.)

The scientific name is Trumplopithicus deplorialus.

The childish, selfish, ignorant and vengeful nature of ‘I can’t can’t ever lose’ progressives is always enlightening. That there are so many of them is trouble for our nation. Put them down with reason and truth, and label them for others to see, at every opportunity.

I'll never forget how I felt when we closed the polls on election day. We could see how busy it was inside, but had little idea as to what was going on outside since we weren't allowed to bring outside news in (save for snippets which voters volunteered).

When we finally closed up the machines and tabulated the tallies for me to drive to the courthouse, I took one look at them and said "Wow! This election is going to be way closer than predicted." The only openly Democrat lady on the board said "Sorry! I just couldn't bring myself to vote for HER."

We also had about a dozen write in votes for Bernie Sanders.

Democrats offered a candidate most couldn’t support, they take no responsibility for this.

Think what's happened. The US used to frame itself as the gold standard of fair elections, accepting the results, and the peaceful transfer of power. That is so over. It is now obvious to the whole world that "fair" elections are fine as long as the manipulators get to choose the candidates.

I knew it was bad, but I thought there were some limits to the lengths the powers that be would go to if they lost.

Who gives a royal fluff what they feel? How has Trump destroyed their lives other than being their boogeyman? We put up with their King Barry the fraudulent interloper for 8 years of his tortuous policies that hacked up the nation. Scrooge their ‘hurt’ feelings and their leftist leanings.

I stopped reading at
such overconfidence in the United States’ long and illustrious tradition of liberty
I'd bet hey want the "liberty" to choose which bathroom to use. We do not have a long tradition of that. They oppose the "liberty" to earn a living or own a gun or any number of other freedoms we've enjoyed for over 200 years.

In the parts I read, I didn't see anything they've learned since election night.
Trump had done, said, and accomplished many things. Their current fears should be based on those, not on nightmares from election-night. We can have a discussion or debate of actual policies - but not on literally nightmares.

“...‘Overwhelmed by grief.” “Brokenhearted.” “Hopeless.” “Something inside me died on Election night.” “I woke up that morning and everything felt f—ed.”

That gives me wood.

The Imperial Japanese told the Japanese slave lords on Saipan in WW2 that the American Marines would take all Japanese women and rape them to death. They were so frightened that hundreds of them jumped off cliffs into the sea as the Marines closed in on the main town. They did this to keep the population from surrendering.

My point here is that we might not have to do anything. They believe their own propaganda.

True, and I include establishment Republicans in this. Their appointed candidate didn’t win either (Jeb Bush) and they actually preferred Hillary to Trump so that they could keep the status quo in place.. Inexcusable!

I consider Republicans like McCain, Ryan, Kasich and Graham no better than Dems like Schumer, Pelosi and Maxine Waters.

The reactions of the people at the beginning of the post seem to be showing signs of mental illness.
Liberalism is a contageous mental disease.
