All of this is very scary and sobering. Hate that it’s come to this but I guess we have to admit this is what it’s come to, most likely.
I can’t help but think that God placed DJT in this position as the impetus or catalyst to trigger this movement. Trump talks of draining the swamp in a certain way. Maybe God’s swamp-draining plans are much, much more ambitious.
As the Japanese are so fond of saying:

A lot of SERIOUS prayer, situational awareness, and self discipline to keep in check my seething anger at that which evil men & women are doing to my beloved country. And I keep reminding myself that I am accountable to God for all of my actions. I understand the temptation to yield to "righteous anger" and admit to vicarious satisfaction while reading Michael Flynn's "Term Limits".
But, having studied history and Biblical history, plus having been through one war in SE Asia and several coups in Africa, I understand the terrible results of "voices crying " "Havok!" and let slip the dogs of war."

No, he should have continued to maintain his innocence, and refused to accept the premise that he had somehow committed some egregious crime.
Look at Democrats. They commit outright crimes and get away with them more times than not just by pretending that they did nothing wrong. How many crimes have the Clintons committed, yet they are still walking scot-free? Obama was spying on American citizens--certainly a far more serious matter than a couple of campaign workers trying to listen to DNC conversations--and he still walks free.
While the Democrats are shameless in pretending that the crimes they commit are no big deal, the Republicans could learn a little about defending oneself from them.
As I said, Nixon should have stood up and fought. I think the political climate would be quite different today had he done so.
