"Not that it matters, but I thought that Hillary, if elected, was going to make a play for retirement funds."
Pelosi and company were making noises about it in 2008. With Hillary in the White House, they would have made a play for it.
Why? Because years of unaccountability breeds an arrogance that shows very little fifference from stupidity.

They do not believe in “democracy,” but they think they do. Democracy, a bad institution, is mob rule.

Excellent.
Sometimes I think the only means to resolve this is Civil War. No respect for the rule of law/equal justice, no acknowledgement for facts, reason and logic.

Ever-expanding democracy has long been the Progressives' means to their fuzzy, yet dangerous social justice ends. Our national experience has shown that the explosion of the democratic element since the direct election of senators, voting by women, repeal of Jim Crow, abolition of poll taxes, lowering the voting age to eighteen, extension of voting from a single day to a couple of weeks, same day registration, motor voter, voting rights for ex-convicts, and judicial overthrow of state voter ID laws . . . have all served to extend the franchise to an ever expanding portion of the public. But, to what end?
More Democracy Less Liberty.

You read this article, and that is the bull$hit you pull from it? Really? I commented on the grammar/style because the best idea in the world means nothing if it cannot be communicated clearly.

RE: bullying, easiest possible solution might be to make all elected virtual positions. Tele-commute. I think that is necessary. There is no reason to have them constantly in DC when the technology exists for them to do their jobs from their home districts.

Let’s eat, Grandma.
Let’s eat Grandma.
See, proper punctuation saves lives.
Correct grammar enables readers to understand the ideas without effort. Poor grammar makes it difficult for the reader to grasp the meaning, and may cause the reader to abandon reading a piece completely. When I have to stop and reread a sentence a couple of times because it can be interpreted two or three ways, it is poorly written.
Whenever I publish something professionally, I have an editor and at least a couple of other people read it to make sure it is clear and concise before it gets published. It seems the author of this piece didn’t bother with an editor.

This is an old one that was around 60 years ago———punctuate the following to make an understandable sentence——the words stay in the same order.
It was and I said not but.

The Dems ‘believe ‘ in democracy- as long as the media says what they want.
And the public believes it.
Didn’t happen with Trump. Americans believed ‘their own lying eyes’ that time.

Oh, they believe in Democracy, alright. It’s just that they envision democracy as being more like that of the French Revolution, namely the September Massacres and the 1793 reign of terror.
