Jeff Flake Rails Against Trump, But To What End?
The New York Times ^ | JULY 31, 2017

Posted on 07/31/2017 8:51:55 PM PDT by Helicondelta

It seems safe to say that Senator Jeff Flake’s new anti-Trump book is politically contraindicated. His approval ratings in his home state, Arizona, are so low they are somewhere down in a missile silo; according to Politico, the president has privately said he would spend $10 million in the Republican primary to whisk Flake out of the Senate with a broom.

Then again, maybe this is what a man who’s facing political expiration does: speaks his mind, goes for broke. Or perhaps he’s simply fed up. Flake was one of the few Never Trumpers in Congress to remain so right through Election Day.

“To what end? To get crossover Dems to vote for him in the Republican primary.”

Usually not a good strategy for either party, as they are usually too consumed with their own candidates and also not that well organized (i.e., FReepers are 1% or so of the Republican Party...the others show up, vote, and go back to playing Game of Thrones or something).

The good people of the Great State of Arizona might want to use special care in the selection of their next two senators.

Yes, I'd say it's time for some new blood in the AZ Republican party. Their US Senators seem to have forgotten about the will of the People, or the health of the Republic...

I don’t know about Flake, but Romney is a hard core globalist (global Marxist) and that is why he HATES Trump. I’m not buying Flakes’ book to find out why he hates President Trump.

Is it? Remember, they thought they had it in the bag, they were already wearing their party hats on the morning of Nov. 8th which is why it hit them so hard. They were told by every poll, every leftist pundit, they were going to win and win big. Then they lost big. If they thought it was going to be close they would have gone to the trouble of rigging it. They will try next time but I'm hoping enough changes to the system can be made to prevent it.

The bottom line is we already know lots of voter fraud is going on that favors the ugly left so our job is to prevent it in any way we can. In this case "we" is Trump and his team.

voter fraud is one thing... but if they machines were rigged for zero to win, it would have been easier to do it this time... they didnt... must be selective rigging going on..

The end is impeachment so that the deep state does not go down. The top rinos are showing us who is in trouble with their antics.

There is no other explanation. These people should be enjoying their time at the top, not acting like Trump was the end of the world, if there was not a terrible fear motivating these behaviors.

What makes you think it was easy to rig the machines? I don’t know how they manage to get through all the security in place; I’m just saying that they can. I bet it cost them a lot and a lot of chances are taken to make it happen so they don’t do it unless they think they have to.

Look, the bottom line is these machines are open to tampering, this has already been proven before and by this one article at the thread starter. Let’s do away with these machines and go back to paper ballots with machines that are so dumb; all they know how to do is count dark spots. The machines are fast, people are slow, so use the machines to count the ballots so the results are known that day then use people to count the same ballots to confirm the machines weren’t tampered with. That is a double failsafe system. Couple that with voter ID since we all have to show ID in all kinds of things we do in life and we have a much better voting system.

Now there will still be voter fraud like with workers in rest homes filling out ballots for the patients and young people at home filling out ballots for their invalid parents. Mail-in ballots will still be a potential way for voter fraud to happen with people at the address the ballot is sent to filling in the ballot for the dead person that ballot was for that the state still thinks is alive.

The cure for these crimes is to prosecute vigorously with long prison sentences like 10 years per ballot illegally placed. Voter fraud will always still happen but at least it will be minimized to the point our elections can then be assumed to be fair and not rigged. We aren’t there yet.
