That won't happen.

What's going to happen is military action to remove Kim and liberate the people of North Korea.

Let me know when they put a ban on Chinese made products into the U.S or dramatically cut off trade with China. If they don’t do that then the threat isn’t as real as they say. Either do that or stop bringing it up

Okay fine.

It'll be ugly, the second worst thing to letting Clinton's and Madeline Albright's folly continue to fester.

Speaking of whom, where are they now?

We are China’s largest customer. They know what, we know it, and we finally have a president that is willing to act like it. They need us. They are a debtor nation now too. If we put a tariff on goods from China they will be unable to do anything about it. What could they do? Sell our US bonds that they purchased years ago? They’ve been selling them. If they sold more it would just push the dollar down more and lower our US interest rates slightly. This would hurt them far, far more than it would hurt us. As a matter of fact it might help us more than hurt us in the short run. There’s a new president in town, China. And he is pro US.

We will not start a trade war to get China to act on North Korea.

That would hurt us as much as China and cause a worldwide economic disruption and possibly a world war.

We will (keeping China and Russia in the loop as much as possible) remove Kim militarily.

It has to be done.

That is what Nikki Haley and Trump are saying.

The Norks and Kim are puppets of China.

Everyone is overlooking what China has already suggested: China will take the Norks in hand if and when the USA withdraws from the south china sea which China is determined to take over.

That's what this is about.

Time for U.S. sanctions on nations that don’t put or don’t live up to sanctions on North Korea. We all know what that will mean.

Did you read my post? To have a trade war they would have to be buying from us, too. With the notable exception of Trump’s latest deal they don’t buy much. With trade imbalance like that they have much, MUCH more to lose.

I am sure China would like to see us withdraw from the South China Sea, but that isn't going to happen (see map--and that's just LNG shipping).

I don't know if North Korea is a puppet of China, per se. It is certainly China's pit bull, but I don't know how much control China has over Kim (probably not as much as it would like).

China knows we will not--cannot--stand by as Kim threatens to attack our mainland.

The time for action is upon us.

Do you realize how much prices in this county would rise immediately if we somehow stopped or significantly reduced our purchases from China?

And what about the $1.4 trillion U.S. Treasuries the Chinese own?

Do YOU realize how much prices would rise if the NORKs “nuked” Pearl Harbor?

Or what the market value of China’s $1.4 Trillion of Treasuries would be after we declare a “redemption holiday”?

Let’s not be paralyzed by Dem propaganda...

What is a redemption holiday? I’m not familiar with that?

Redemption Holiday = a period when government debt obligation are NOT redeemed on their stated “due dates” for a reason such as “war”.

The U.S. Treasury would NEVER refuse to redeem its debt when due.

That would cause a collapse in the market and destroy our borrowing capacity.

U.S. Treasuries are called the risk free investment for a reason.

You really didn’t bother reading my first post. I answered your second question already, so do that.

Next, Americans would simply have to be presented with the choice of having a TEMPORARY halt to cheap Chinese made items OR to have a hot war with the NORKS. That’s an easy answer.
