Well, he’d ride on a growing parade of anti-elitism in America. Our dear lefties are having a harder and harder time trying to sell their snake oil.

She must have one of those little strings coming out of her back that they pull when they need her to spew some stupidity like this.

The era of mindless mantras that fly is rapidly coming to a close. I pray.

Obamacare is not the Santa’s elf factory that it is touted to be. It’s a lot to pay for a little that is a grand hassle to get. All in the name of theoretical fairness. I’ve often thought it would be cheaper to issue mini-med plans to the welfare set (which is now beginning to shrink) than do this.

Trump should have removed congress’ exemption, and that of all Fed.gov workers, on his first day in office.

This is the best Maine can come up with to represent them? The cure for embarrassments like Collins is term limits with no more than two terms.

Well, I believe Donald is trying to work the political levers as skillfully as he can. Too hard, and the mantra about his being a monster gains credibility. Too easy, and the mantra about his being feckless gains credibility. Goldilocks needs the bowl of porridge that is just right here. I believe his instinct has shown signs of being divinely guided toward such an end. I have no big complaints about his timing.

Trump’s got a pen and a phone... What’s the big problem, right Obama?

Donald is herding cats, half of which have distemper. What would please the hard right wouldn’t fly with the left, with whom we still have to bear at least a short while.

Better an evolution move, than nothing at all. That has been my belief from the word go in this affair.

It certainly makes one queasy.

It’ll probably end up being the proverbial horse designed by a committee - a three legged camel.

And yet we’d be hard pressed to see how the GOP could possibly give us something worse than Obamacare.

And this thing doesn’t have to be the forever solution. It’s the first stepping stone away from Obamacare.

“And yet we’d be hard pressed to see how the GOP could possibly give us something worse than Obamacare.”

Don’t sell them short. How about keeping all the benefits and subsidies and removing any responsibility to purchase insurance?

This IS an encouraging development. It shows that Trump wasn’t BS’ing when he said he was a guy who knew how to get deals done and let’s not forget, our new President is a WINNER, not a loser like we’re used to.

I don’t think Donald would sign an arrangement like that.

Well what caused this..Collins said Sunday that the ObamaCare issue remains unsettled and that the Senate must get back to work.

Maybe phone and emails...or polling or TRUMP

The article is not accurate. Collins called for more hearings, beltway gum flapping, etc. on Obamacare. No sense of urgency at all from her, IMO.

They should go back to the original House bill. The conservatives killed it, although it contained 80% of what we want.

One of the conservatives could move for a reconsideration (having voted on the prevailing side of the action), and then blow it out of the Senate and back to the House.
