I really don’t like this churn in the WH.

This candidate 'churned' through three campaign managers in the 6-9 months before a general election. And WON bigly. I would rather see stability, and I would rather circus atmosphere die down, but I do not mind changes and re-arranging people to get some things done. This move in particular is a good one. The COS was a real problem in the White House and seemed to either be a leaker, or have brought in the leakers. Almost everyone accused has been an RNC long-timer. Those are Priebus people. A do-over is needed. Hopefully some stability to follow not too far down the road.

Agree whole heartedly.....

I never liked the guy. I'd say he reminds me of a weasel, but I don't want to insult the weasel.

You knew this was going to happen, but if Kelly has no way of controlling Scaramucci or Bannon or Jared or Ivanka then he’s getting set up for failure himself.

No, it shows decisive leadership!

Lincoln had to fire a lot of generals before he got to Grant.

Trump sure seems to like Generals, doesn’t he? He has great respect for military men...

What this clearly and not so subtly conveys is President Trump tried to work with the establishment...they bit his hand several times. Trump tried playing nice. Those were rejected and the establishment laughed at him, sold out to the media, the Russians, the democrats, and the donors...the establishment chose their kingdoms over we the people. Now, they have a tactical war chief to deal with and the gloves are off.

This back drop can be cut and pasted in describing why Scaramucci was hired, too.

I suspect that General Kellogg will be the next DHS head. I would love to see Kris Kobach in that position. Either way it is a win. We need a strong replacement for Kelly.

Not sure what I think of Kelly.

I wasn't clear in my post. I think very highly of General Kelly.

Guess what? Since you don't know yourself, still no one cares.

I’m stunned by this.

I know everyone here hates Reince (even though he is the second most important person in Trump’s victory).

But I assume most people in the White House sort of like him. And he gets turfed two days after the new guy (who is a Democrat) burns him to the ground in the New Yorker.

Paul Ryan isn’t going to be too happy, but I’m fine with it.
...
I for one would like to see Ryan fall off a treadmill with a couple of black eyes, a dislocated shoulder and a new tattoo emblazoned on his chest saying, “we the people...you work for us!”

General John Kelly was an excellent Marine officer and he is a man of integrity - I have worked with him as a neighboring battalion commander and I worked to support him in Iraq.

His son, a Marine lieutenant, was killed in combat in Iraq.

Head and shoulders above anybody else president Trump could have picked.

Answer your question about “brass”, my non-serving friend?
...
Thank you, sir, and for your service. Thank you for the analysis and clarity.

By putting Gen John Kelly in charge, Pres Trump is militarizing the White House & putting our executive branch in the hands of an extremist. - Rep. Barbara Lee (D/CPSU-CA)

Thanks for reassuring us it was a good move, babs.

Good, Preibus was the Uniparty mole in the White House.

It also gives Trump the opportunity to get a Homeland Security Secretary that wants to enforce the laws.
Kelly wanted amnesty so he didn’t have to.

Me either. It’s pretty funny that Priebus actually resigned last night but that’s the one thing this week that didn’t leak.

Preibus was only there because he was at least smart enough to know that Trump had the RNC by the balls following the first debate and a Trump third-party run would be a disaster for them.

Now with the Senate imploding, looks like Trump is going Third Party anyway. Ciao.
