“...become pressurized steam which will in turn blow the entire earth to pieces”

Quick! We need a steam tax!

"An 18 month trend, compared to over 20 years, is hardly a comparison......"

Actually, it is called cherry-pickin the data.

Another good example of cherry-pickin the data is the phrase: the earth hasn't warmed since 1998.

“As I recall, when I was a kid in the 70s, we were headed toward an ice age...”

Yes, the coming ice age was all the rage in the 70s. Even made the cover of Time magazine IIRC.

OK!! Everybody pay attention!
Lesson for today:
1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.
2. The sun is a giant nuclear furnace that controls the climates of all its planets.
3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.
4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.
5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.
Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

From 1990 to 2009, NASA spent a huge amount off it's budget on very powerful and precise weather monitoring stations both in space and on the ground to detect global warming.

Global warming research became NASA’s primary and most lavishly funded mission statement

One of Obama’s first actions in office was to gut NASA because 18 years of NASA research was proving that Global Warming theory was false and the Global Warming agenda was a fraud

There is only one spacecraft that has been gathering temperature data since the 1960s, and that is the DMSP spacecraft. It has recorded a temperature decrease.

Yep. Been about 10 degrees hotter than 'normal' for the past couple of weeks. Global Warming, dontcha know.

Heard on the radio on the way to work this morning that there's a cold front coming through. Starting tomorrow, it'll be about 10 degrees cooler than usual, at least for a week or so. That's Global Warming Global Cooling Trump's Fault Climate Change, too, I guess.

Where I grew up, it was "weather".

and I’m convinced the term “climate change” was invented because “global warming” could no longer be sustained.
++++
Of that, there is no doubt. And when Climate Change has worn out its welcome it too will be replaced with yet another variation of “We’re all gonna die.”

It’s apparently been hot even for July here in NC for several weeks, and before that we were having very regular thunderstorms almost every afternoon and evening, some violent. The heat seems to have scorched enough moisture out that the thunderstorms have calmed down, not that the humidity is low by any stretch but it’s had an impact. Very calm year for tropical storms on the Atlantic, though, very few “named” storms and I’m OK with that but the farmers probably won’t be, that’s where the bulk of the annual rainfall comes heading into fall, my grandparents called it “the equinox.” Me, I’m hoping that trend holds up at least through mid-August, I’ve booked a cool old beach cottage in the dunes overlooking the Atlantic in Carova Beach, never been there despite living here practically all my life, taking family and the dog, here it is, nothing fancy but seems about perfect for us:

https://www.vrbo.com/367406

I’m excited, no paved roads at all, drive up the beach to get there. The Banker Ponies aren’t penned, they’re wild and free up there. I guess I’ve avoided it because the water gets cold if you go too far above Hatteras, the Gulf Stream heads out to sea so it’s the Labrador Current on those beaches, August water temps probably in the low 70’s, but heck I’m not going swimming in there anymore anyway, wading at best so why not.

Yep... thank you for posting this reality.

Here’s another example of conflicting statements concerning “Rising sea levels”. Even when it is in their face they can’t let go of the narrative.

Seas have been rising for thousands of years. One report said they have risen 8" over the last 137 years. At some point the ice age will resume and they will drop.

Al Gore should be relieved because if the sea levels were to rise according to his predictions his sea side mansion in California would be flooded
