But... he didn’t. That’s kind of the point of the entire article.

The wages of sin is death. He got off cheap. On the other hand, the law should be changed and he should be able to sue her in a civil court for the owed payments.

Maybe the jerk should be more selective

I want to know his legal status

I want to know if woman is being prosecuted for perjury

So screwing anything and everything just because you want to is a good thing?

Fidelity is not a concept invented by the state of Texas

...should have learned them before getting any ex-girlfriends pregnant.

Guess you were too illiterate to learn that he didn't get her pregnant.

One would think anyone in the Texas legislature on up to the Governors office would see a story like this and say we need to correct this law. I don’t understand how a law like this could even be introduced for debate much less passed. In theory any man could have the finger pointed at him and be held liable. Its like saying DNA doesn’t even exist. If the idiots who voted yes on this bill could be sued it never would have passed. Not ever in a million years.

That’s not what I said.

You have reading comprehension. Would you have Sharia police in order to enforce your morality?

Besides who this guy screwed is irrelevant, It’s not his kid. End of story.

Any wonder why birth rates are down. Who wants anything to do with the average 2017 young woman?

That’s another law that needs to be repealed and replaced.

“His ex-girlfriend’s attorney, Carel Stith, claimed that money was taken out of Cornejo’s paycheck several years ago and he didn’t contest it, and that in itself can satisfy a court argument that he should have handled the matter long ago.

“There can be consequences, even if you don’t do anything,” Stith told local news.”

This Carel Stith sounds like a real worm. I hope the non-father wins.

How would that have helped in this case? For all we know, he never even saw the woman. Apparently in Texas you can go to a court, tell them some random guy got you pregnant, and the court orders child support and wage garnishment without ever contacting the other person.

His first indication of it might have been if he noticed another deduction on his paycheck and wondered what it was for. Apparently he didn’t. I have to presume that he lost his job, and so the money stopped, and that’s why hes’ being his with a “back payment”.

Agreed, but you forgot to mention that it turns women into prostitutes by compensating them for 18 to 22 years for one night’s worth of pleasure.

“The wages of sin is death. “

Since the paternity test proved it wasn’t his then you have zero proof there was any sin involved on his part.
